You're probably right Bkocats. I'd say "being closer to family" may be a consideration, but it's likely quite a ways down the list of reasons he's transferring. Edit: I think the primary reason may be that he got a serious eye opener at the combine and he realized how far he still has to go, and it may take longer than one more year to get there. So, sit a year while working on offense and then play another season somewhere that might give him a shot at being a primary offensive option.being closer to family is one of those standard "reasons." Sometimes it's true, sometimes not - but not something anyone can really argue or fault. As I said in a previous post, I think he burned some bridges and Cal is not going to put out anything negative about Marcus.
But for anyone who thinks I'm angry or wishing ill on Lee, not a chance. I wish him well. I'm just trying to make sense of this decision, transferring with one year of eligibility and one semester left on his degree.
