--Several guys went home this week

--These kids didnt get to experience the real Rupp

--No positives for 5 months

--Now we gotta look further down from the top 5

--Proud of how they fought all year

--I coached this year trying to give us a chance to win

--Davion got better

--I expect to win every game

--Gotta get back to the mental toughness

--What if we have another summer like last year where we cant be together?

Cal: The '78 team was a tough team mentally and physically

--Talking about the special coming up on that team

--Joe B was so good to me

--We are still riding from what coach Hall built

--Loved how Goose would throw the daggers

--We went into a zone some during last game

--We missed so many 1-2 footers

--We worked on it every practice

--We started shooting more 3's

--Team makeup determines whether or not we shoot more 3's

--The game is going position-less

--Game is more about skill than athleticism and length now (Did he really say that??)

--To the fans...we play not to just get in the tourney but to win it

--Not happy we were an 8 seed in SECT

--I never made it personal

--Have to hold them accountable

--One game it looked like they finally got it but then next game they would revert

--Next year from first day of practice I'm putting 3 minutes on the clock and we;re going at it

--Physical toughness leads to mental toughness

yeah I’m with you. I am shocked but he’s saying all the right things so far IMO. If he enacts the changes he’s describing it’s exactly what most everyone has been asking for. Let’s see if he does I’m willing to give him the chance to right the ship.

--This season was unacceptable...went thru it in '13

--We are here to compete and win National Titles

--I'm not satisfied

--Let's put this behind

--A lot of happy people we had a bad year

Oh great, he referenced next year being like 2014......... like we want to lose 12 games and pray the team finally plays decent in the NCAAT.

He really does think sucking sh*t all year and having 4 good games in 3 weeks of the NCAAT is good here at UK.

I’m still convinced 2019-2020 team was going to FF and with as good a chance to win. The guard play end of last season was as strong as anyone and Richards was one of the best centers in basketball. Had the tournament happened last season, I think the anger toward this season wouldn’t have been as bad for a true rebuilding year.

Cal deserves benefit of the doubt, but I’m not sure 2013 is a great comparison. We had 5 of the top 10 high school players coming in the next year. Pretty easy to get over an NIT bid knowing you have an overwhelming amount of talent coming in. Not the case now...it was also coming off of a title year, but I’ll disregard that point since we didn’t have a chance last year.

Also, for all those who have decided to shoehorn in the kneeling thing, please, stop watching; just like you’ll said you would in the Facebook comment sections months ago. The fan base is better off without you.

So good news.... he knows a 4 like D willis is the best thing for offenses..... spreading the court....

Bad news is thats been obvious since the invent of the 3pt line ... even more obvious to Cal when he put Willis starting at the 4 and how it drastically improved the overall offense.........and yet he still recruits teams where you need to play bigs that cant shoot the 3 or wont let them......... and wont get a great shooting coach on the staff..

Its completely maddening that its like he gets it but makes no freaking steps in addressing it.

I've been as anti-Cal as anyone. He's at least saying the right things now so that gives me a sliver of hope. Now let's see if he acts on it. If he turns things around next year I'll be happy to eat my serving of crow.

If Cal goes back to building rosters the way he used to and mix in a few one and done players, I think we will win more games and most fans would be happy. Cals best teams before he came to Kentucky were veteran teams. His Umass team gave my favorite UK team their first loss of the season in 96. My biggest criticism of cal has always been devaluing veteran leadership. If he does as he says he will, I think it would be great.
