To be honest, I thought going into the Ohio State game that he was going to get killed by their defense. As in leave the field with assistance. That he did as well as he did proved that he is a winner, tough, and someone who will be a factor going forward. A leader.

This is a good thread. This has been a weird year for Rutgers and has to be looked at in its own way, but Langan has certainly earned my respect. I’m sure this is not the way he ever though he’d see the field, but he stepped in and has performed valiantly in a very difficult situation. And those who have mentioned the way the team respond to him have a good point. When you see two prominent offensive players quit when the going gets tough, you know the ones who still show up want to be there. This team was DONE after three weeks. Now, they are running less talent out there, and (this is no secret) they are not good. But they are tough. They’ve played better and with heart. It would’ve been easy for everyone to pack it in, but you’re seeing some kids showing up with pride. They should give you a little bit of hope for next year.

That’s enough gushing over Rutgers football for me, but I think it bears weighing in from behind enemy lines.

He came in to start with two days notice, improved in every game and has the respect of the team and the O line. He's not afraid to throw and man can he run. Just think if he was given the entire spring and summer to be with the first team. I hope he plays again next year. He is getting in a rhythm with his team. Keep him in and let him memorize the playbook. And yet another OC coming in. We had chants around us "run Johnny run". Something actually positive.

Real nice to see a running QB for a change. Plays with a lot of grit. If he can just improve his passing ability. I hope we can make it a game on Sat.
