is on the move again....should have went to a mid major last year...played about the same minutes at Villanova as he did here....
He did not improve his offensive reportoire from the first to last year at Kentucky. Literally not even a back to basket move. Seems like a good young man, but I think he is just coasting. With stats like that you have to wonder if he's even been trying to improve.
The one Villanova game I watched they only put him in to guard the in-bounds pass of the other team just due to his height. Then he came out not long after that. He's not very good but I loved his energy.
I mean look at Bradshaw. I have to wonder if Cal and crew even watch these players play and just go off the star rating. He always played at 100% when he was here, so I do respect that. He’s another recent recruit where I have no idea how all the talent evaluators missed so badly on him though. Supposedly one of the top big men in his class, and he basically can’t put the ball in the basket unless he’s dunking it, and isn’t really an overwhelming rebounder or shot blocker to make up for it.
He actually had very good footwork just for some reason could not make shot of any kind including layups. Couldn’t make FTs either. Hard to figure. Did no one ever work with him or was he just not into improving? He did not improve his offensive reportoire from the first to last year at Kentucky. Literally not even a back to basket move. This is crazy, I don’t think DJ is that over rated. It was a weak class. He’s not gonna be a great pro and that was always a question but he can be a very good college player. Bradshaw I don’t know about, he had a couple games but he needs strength in the worst way. Some big guys take 2-3 years to play up to their potential.Interesting how all 3 of our Camden HS recruits in recent years have been very overrated.
Probably paid to have the last two zero's removed. He tried hard but he was absolutely horrible. I have no idea how he got his ranking out of high school.
watching him in high school it was easy to see that he wasn't going to be much use to UK.He tried hard but he was absolutely horrible. I have no idea how he got his ranking out of high school.
Yeah but sometimes they develop right into that Sheeeray Thomas, Bobby Perry, Ramon Harris type of player which is fine at other programs but at UK those guys played way to many mins for us to be successful. They would never see the floor or get a fair chance with Cal as coach.I actually wish he never transferred and was content being a role player. Reminds me of an old school Tubby player who stayed 4 years and gradually progressed.
But if he made 350k going to Nova, can't blame him. Someone will pick him up
We have another next year. I disagree about Bradshaw though, he isn’t what I hoped in his first and probably only year here but I do think he is very talented and will be fine.Interesting how all 3 of our Camden HS recruits in recent years have been very overrated.

You should get more out of the #2 high school player in the nation that what he gave us. Definitely overrated coming out of high school. We have another next year. Dude- That is comedy gold.I feel like we have a real shot at his younger brother, Tupper Ware.
Defensive specialist and can really seal off the rim.
Our MORON coach started this guy several times .. He couldn't start at many schools in the OVC . He tried hard . Thats about all I got . What is with Cal starting thats near 100% guarantee that we wont start the game off Ewell.I can't believe he got as much clock here as he did. Seemed likable enough though.

He showed flashes, every class isn't created the same. He will be very good this year wherever he ends up.You should get more out of the #2 high school player in the nation that what he gave us. Definitely overrated coming out of high school.
Camden guys I know of that played at UofL, Memphis, or KentuckyInteresting how all 3 of our Camden HS recruits in recent years have been very overrated.
Derrick Ramsey is probably UK’s greatest athlete from Camden. Played a year of bball, and killed it on the football field.Camden guys I know of that played at UofL, Memphis, or Kentucky
Milt Wagner
Billy Thompson
Kevin Walls
Dajuan Wagner SR
Arthur Barclay (DW SR's best friend)
Lance Ware
DJ Wagner
Aaron Bradshaw
DJ would've been better served going to Prep school for a year seeing how he's only 18 now--think him staying a Soph year is good for his development--if he's utilized correctly and can handle the truth about his game.
Milt and Billy were obviously great. Walls was injured but proved to be a bust. Dajuan Sr was good-but not the guy they projected him to be due to lacking the elite speed. He wasn't AIlen Iverson 2.0. Barclay was brought in to help get him to Memphis. Ware was brought in due to connections to Cal through a good friend of his/Camden guy to help get the latter 2.
