When I watched Quinn at that game I wished he was on our team. I definitely think he can help us. if he is available he would be a nice addition. We saw him up close. He would also be another Jersey Guy.

Glad to see us now on the list. Somebody should point out to him how well he played at the RAC and that he'd get 18 more chances each of the next two years!

Reiber can certainly play at the 4-5 .I would love for him to gain like Cliff some good weight over the summer / early fall.

You better clear that with the board gurus who when this was first reported their immediate response was a B1G negative. They haven’t learned yet that we should trust in Pikiell on who or whom we would like to join RU.

Who cares if Reiber is the main backup to Cliff? And Harper doesn't play 40 minutes per game so why does Reiber get none of those minutes and play with Cliff? Let's use the win against Wisconsin as an example. Reiber got 7 min that game and all at the 5 backing up Cliff. Harper was out for 9 minutes that game and all those minutes were given to some combo of Hyatt, Mag, and Palmquist. Why not give Reiber any of those minutes if they think it's his best position? Stamina and foul trouble obviously wasn't the issue so what else could it be? Maybe his defensive skill set isn't what Pikiell, or pretty much every major college basketball team, looks for in a 4?

Reiber is a very sound post defender and does a great job helping on picks and shifts. He just doesn't have the strength this year to even slow down the dominant big men as we saw against Purdue and Michigan. He'll definitely look to add some good size and strength this offseason to help with that. But you get him one on one with a B1G perimeter player and they get by him every time because he's simply not a perimeter defender. That's why he's not playing the 4 at all right now and won't be the starting 4 next year.
Pike is carefully managing his fouls at the center position so we don’t have problems at the end of games. I see Reiber playing a lot of 4 next year if we can find a decent backup center.

Which is why this will all come down to whether or not he is content with being a backup center in he Big Ten
He's not gonna best out Edy.(sp) and if I'm Pike I'm noting he's got 2 years and good chances Cliff is gone after next. Hope not but there's playing time at Rutgers!

Hate to throw other names out in this thread..... BUT, I'm gonna do it anywhere.

Jersey guy, backup Center Ryan Young would be a great fit if he was a Grad Transfer from Northwestern.

I have a feeling Quinn is going to end up at Penn State with Harrar graduating.

If we got Harrar, then there would be no “Ralph’s Corner”!!!
I understand that's a joke.. but who knows what Ralph adds to team chemistry. I think the whole team is in a good place, despite a tough early season, and all the players and coaches deserve credit.. and Ralph also.. for "keepin' it jiggy".

I especially like Quinn's assists per game and in our game with them... we can find a good use for him even with Cliff and Dean... and if the coaches want him... let's get him.

The 4 assists is eve more impressive - that’s more than Geo averages.

Blatantly obvious take imo if he wanted to come home, but as others said he’ll probably find somewhere else that can offer more playing time.
That's what stands out to me.

Cliff isn't that type of player, but Myles was a guy who we did run the offense through at times. I think Pike would make good use of a big man who can pass the ball.

Harrar was the top portal guy I Wass hoping to come to Rutgers. I love his toughness around the basket and his rebounding. If he had come to Rutgers we'd be no worse than Sweet 16 potential.
Harrar would not have helped us one bit.

The Lafayette guy is not a Big Ten player. A10 or CAA.
Where have Rutgers fans heard that statement before… Reiber, Mulcahy, Mag are just a few names who come to mind. I’ll go by Pikiell and his staff’s evaluation.
C.J. Gettys says hello. He actually improved his offensive output in the B1G when he came to Rutgers. At the very least, we get a big body that can block the lane, get some rebounds, and body up to some of the big centers we face.
Didn’t say he couldn’t. Just provided stats from our game. Appears he is getting looks from some good basketball programs.

Victory lap: Neal Quinn committed to Richmond (A-10) today.

Guess he doesn’t care to play big-time basketball (I know they beat Iowa in the tournament).

Kid just wants to play and have fun which is fine.

Of their 7 leading scorers, 1 was a junior and declared for the draft, 2 were 4th year seniors, 3 were 5th year seniors, and 1 was a 6th year senior.

They won’t be competitive next year.

Talking down on a program that went a lot farther than us last year isn’t a great look. Willing to bet the junior and both 4 year seniors return.

A lot? They won one game in the tournament then got blown out by 30. If they made the Sweet 16 maybe you could say “a lot.”

Regardless we had a better record in a far superior conference. We’re just objectively better and if any of the 4 Richmond fans happen to stumble over to our board (they won’t), they should expect ridicule, not praise.

It’s a school for snobby rich kids - Quinn (Ramapo HS) will fit right in.

They made it two rounds further than us kiddo. Talking down about any recruit who doesn’t pick us is immature behavior. Not a good look.

Richmond won as many NCAA Tournament games in the past month as Rutgers has in the past four decades.

There is no reason to hate on Quinn. Reports are that we cooled off which coincide with Cliff announcing his return.

Richmond seems like a better fit than the B1G anyway for him. Wish him well

You must be a real gem at parties.

It’s our own message board grandpa - part of its purpose is to talk **** about other teams and players.

In doing so, I even brought facts to the equation about Richmond’s geriatric roster that most here probably weren’t aware of. Education is 🔑

I stand by my posts and certainly stand by Neal either not wanting to or thinking he can cut it at the high major level.

He more than likely would not want to play 2nd fiddle to Cliff. It makes sense for this guy . Still
plenty of players to possibly make the trip to Piscataway NJ.

Yep. And they beat Davidson in their tourney final. You
wouldn't have traded Davidson's roster for Richmond's in
a million years. Upsets happen

We have fans comparing Richmond to RU. We just finished 4th in the B1G. This is bizarro..
Comparison;
As a Spider, a probable starter getting around 30 minuets a game
As a Scarlet Knight, a reserve that would back up Cliff and get around 10-15 minutes a game

No I get that — they were comparing the programs not his potential minutes, etc.
