Pope’s first team made it to the Sweet 16 with an injured Butler and without Robinson. Given that the team beat UT twice before that game, it is not unthinkable to surmise it could have been an Elite 8 team at full strength. If the talent on that team was lacking, the staff mush have done one hell of a job coaching.
That's right...you can't have it both ways..either a team that was banged up was awfully talented to make it as far as they did, or Pope did a Hell of a coaching job. Anything else is make believe

The problem is so many on here want to pretend that we’re still living in the 1990s when only 2 or 3 programs in the SEC even cared about basketball. NIL and the portal changed everything. Kids aren’t going to schools for the name on the Jersey anymore. Don’t even bring up Duke, they have way more money than the other schools and ESPN is their advertising partner.

So did we ever get confirmation this dude actually is committed to UCLA? Nothing in this thread indicates it's confirmed. Is the tournament he's playing in over because that's when he was supposed to make his decision "official". I've heard or seen nothing (but I don't have X or follow social media, either...).

Kusturica will be following Boumtje-Boumtje to the states and will also be playing two years of college but he has not made his decision yet. “I’m just focused on the World Cup and then I’ll get together with my family and we’ll decide,” Kusturica said. “I haven’t made a decision yet regardless of the rumors or what everyone is saying.” The 6-foot-7 wing with a 7-foot-plus wingspan will be deciding between Kentucky, UCLA, Michigan, Gonzaga and others. “I’m hoping to show the NBA scouts here what I work for and I’m just focused on winning and doing whatever it takes to help my team win.”
