The players have to execute and Pope's system is not the issue.
Yes, he has some things he needs to be better at, but there has been some weak

Hubert Davis and Mich Cronin have both been on the doorstep of a title and look what UConn did in 2014 with a terrible coach.
Pope's system is not the issue, you have to have good players that get hot and when I say "good", history has proven that most of the time, those players end up being college journeymen.
It’s the players that make or break you and timing has something to do with it too. Our 1998, 2011 and 2014 teams proved that.
