Foregoing college and headed to the G-League. Shocker.
This is going to continue to be a thing. They got arguably the two best players in this class to do it. If it works for them I think you will see more and more guys go this route.
Sadly, I have to agree with this. I wouldn’t necessarily say they’re the two top players in the class, though. I would say two of the top 7 or 8. IMO, Boston and Clarke are both right up there with those two guys. This is going to continue to be a thing. They got arguably the two best players in this class to do it. He looked plenty focused when he played (outplayed?) Clarke. It’s okay sometimes to admit players that go elsewhere are incredibly talented.I'm sorry but give me Clarke and Boston any day. They got spark plugs with juice. Kuminga reminds me a lot of Poythress with his mentality. He's very talented but not focused 24/7. Good Luck to him. Will I watch G league? Maybe, if they play KY
THISIt's fine.
They top-top guys can do that, won't have a huge impact on college basketball.
HOWEVER, I also think that these guys aren't going to enjoy the G-League experience and that will get around. Might influence some decisions in the future.

Get used to it. Cal will return to his days when he out recruited everybody in the pre one and days. Careful selecting will be critical
I really worry about wasting time on top10 guys, especially the elite ones. That Gleague offer could come at any time and who wouldn't take that? A team could feasibly recruit a kid for 3 years.. but because of his talent the G-league could snatch him up.. what 4 months before the season starts?
I'll miss the elite talent if it indeed goes away.. but I'll be excited to see what Cal can do with slightly lesser, but multi-year talent.

We ended up with a wealth of talent ourselves. Boston started last summer ranked in the teens and played his way up to the #3 best player entering college. Not bad at all.
why not both?free college girls or nasty washed up bar whores.
That's why college needs to level the playing field with the G-League by allowing NIL rights. I'm not sure if $500k will be available for college players, although it wouldn't surprise me in the high profile cases.Hmmmmmm.....go to college for 7-8 months, take a bunch of classes I have no real interest in, have to attend class and do class assignments so I stay eligible......or get $500k from the G-league and possibly other monetary endorsements......easy call.
You know it's going to happen. That's why the NBA went back to the age restriction/year removed from high school (one and done) rule. They got burned too many times. Some folks say the NBA has deep pockets and won't care, but any sound business mind never likes to lose money. There are plenty of really good basketball players who will take the opportunity to play college. They could be the next Ja Morant.
imagine giving Khalil Whitney half a mill and then realizing he’s nowhere near that level.

Think it’ll be a kid by kid basis. Yes they got two OF the best players in the class, but those kids we seen way before this was a thing that those kids would probably seriously consider overseas/pro options. I think it’ll be more of this last recruiting class a couple elite prospects take a risk on it, however, most attend college. This is going to continue to be a thing. You need to learn how to read a whole sentence, not a few words of it. That's how you get the whole meaning. Read bigger.lol you make it sound like this a debate. nba is on pace to make 10 billion a year in revenue. and it has done this without the support of many here.
500k 5 or 10 times a year to find and cultivate the next all star or face of the NBA for a decade that will generate hundreds of billions of dollars....think bigger.
That is the “second team”? Wow.Kuminga, 2nd team all state

Hey, Lance Wear actually made first team.We are looking good man. That is the “second team”? Wow.
A profound question with huge ramifications for the future of college basketball.free college girls or nasty washed up bar whores.

My thoughts exactly.lol at williams and barnes better than clarke
Kuminga would have looked good in blue. Too bad, but yeah, we knew it was likely. At least Duke missed on him, too.
As for Cade Cunningham:
I still prefer the option where we hired Canen a year ago over the option of taking "the high road".
Give me the super team over the ethic's banner.
