NC doesn’t have great talent overall for as big and populated as it is. I don’t see why we keep wasting time, resources recruiting NC.
Kennedy McCoy is the best player we ever landed from N.C. and he is 4th string RB with no pro future. Very average at best.
NC has failed WVU. Move on.

Will Grier was a transfer not a high school recruit. He only left Florida cause he had to.

All of WVU's hopes and dreams in 2017 and 2018 have rested on the shoulders of a North Carolina native.
Serious question, Grad. You guys are a national contender. Why aren't there a bunch of WV kids on your roster?
I would like to take a minute to thank everyone that shared information as to why this linebacker decided to decommit.

Yes and he's been banned about 6 times from multiple sites because he's an immature and racist person.
Slim blue chip pickings in West Virginia until very recently. Good offensive linemen are coming out of the Huntington area soon, so this has changed a little, but can you imagine a WVU roster with nothing, but West Virginia high school graduates? With whom would you replace Grier, Jennings, Sills, Simms, Long, etc.? West Virginia is able to compete in a big boy conference because of its ability to find diamonds in the rough from Ohio, PA, GA, NC, etc., and lasso some good graduate and JUCO transfers.
WVU signs two or three 4 stars a year and everything else is player development, juco, grad transfer, and walkons. Its about over turning every rock possible to find players
OSUgrad we don’t get players from NC much. NC has never been a state WVU recruits talent from. Maybe 3-4 players from NC in last 50 years have actually played at WVU. Maybe 1-2 starters ever. Will Grier was a fluke transfer. He got in trouble at Florida. He was not a recruit straight out of high school for WVU.
Jarred Barber was injured constantly and was not a real starter. He was a often injured backup. Only time he started was because we had a bad defense or someone was hurt.
Talent in WV is on rise and has always been underatted.

Dorrell Jalloh played at WVU from 2004-2008. He was first NC boy and didn’t do much. Jared Barber was 2011-2015 and was not a stud. He was always injured too. McCoy is most recent that’s played and is 4th string RB when Sinkfield is 100% healthy. McCoy is average RB at best and he’s the best NC kid we ever landed as a high school recruit. Wheaton isn’t ready and has not stood out yet. Dante Thomas Williams was epic bust. Too slow.

Lol haaaahaaaaa look how bad that N.C. list is in 15 years. We have failed badly in a state that never even has good D1 football. I mean why go after ACC loser leftovers in a state like N.C. Don Nehlen 1980s teams and 1993 never had any N.C. leftover losers. It was south Florida and mostly boys from PA, OH, WV, NJ, MD, VA, NY......tough northern boys.

We get leftovers in just about every state we go into but not really sure why we are hyped about NC recruiting is a true statement. We need a verbal from the NG from Fairmont. If we can sure up our Dline recruitment that is a huge step. Next we need to figure linebacker recruitment.
That’s why I’M not so concerned about kpogba, IMHO Bartlett is the real deal and will be D. Long 2.0.
it's funny that Jared Barber never played....... yet in his first two years, he tallied 57 tackles....... as a backup. In only 19 games
