F!’k the shots. They’re poison to the body.I only care if he’s vaccinated. We will never get to the Final Four unless we stay up to date on our shots.

LMAO!!I only care if he’s vaccinated. We will never get to the Final Four unless we stay up to date on our shots.
Yeah this sums it up in a nutshell....but there is no scenario he should not be an active player on the roster for the entire 2022 -23 season. If he's any good whatsoever he will take Wares minutes. Would love to have an elite shot blocker in the middle for a change.
I’m a hater (regarding the sharpe situation) and I don’t have anything negative to say about this at all. Anyone with common sense knew sharpe was never playing, that same common sense can be applied to see this situation isn’t remotely close. This is way different than Sharpe, but I’m sure the haters will say different. Big guys who can’t shoot aren’t wanted in the NBA right now, why do you think Oscar and Baccot came back?
I agree with pretty much everything you said. But, it IS similar to Sharpe in one way, IMO. There has been a lot of talk about Kingsley practicing only this year & not playing, or, playing very little, in preparation for the following season. Also, most everything I’ve seen has said he wasn’t draft eligible, anyway, until today, after he commits. But, at least that info wasn’t hidden til halfway into the season this time.I mean as long as he plays who cares? Now if he sits and doesn't and then leaves that would suck and be a "here we go again."
That said, this situation is nothing like Sharpe. Sharpe was #1 player and was already on draft boards as a potential Top 10 pick before he ever stepped foot on UK's campus....also plays the most in demand position in NBA.
NO he won't . Ware has 2 years experience playing in the SEC !If he's any good whatsoever he will take Wares minutes. Would love to have an elite shot blocker in the middle for a change.
If Cal redshirts him at all, we wouldn't have to wait until next summer to be fervently pissed off about it.
There's literally ZERO sense in redshirting the kid. It's completely illogical and would only hint of another round of nonsense from a coach who can't afford any more PR nightmares.
No. Not automatically. Have to be old enough too.Aren’t all guys who reclassify and enroll in college for the Fall semester eligible?
We didn’t think the Shaedon Sharpe situation was a Shaedon Sharpe situation until it became a Shaedon Sharpe situation .
With that said I do agree I don’t think this is a Shaedon Sharpe situation![]()
Yep, forgot about being 19 by the end of the calendar year of the draft. Thanks.No. Not automatically. Have to be old enough too.
yepWell of course, why wouldn’t he be eligible? He’s he 1 year removed from HS. Lol poster trying to turn a positive into a negative for the hell of it

He’s not a projected lottery pick, or, ranked in the top 10 of his class. But, he’s still a top 20-25 guy, &, is an elite shot blocker/defensive player with great measurables. He might not be a lottery pick, but, some team will take a chance on him if he declares, &, develop him themselves. As long as he plays this season I have no problem, whatsoever, with him declaring, if he does so. But, you can’t really blame ppl for being a little gun shy, now, thanks to the Sharpe deal & so many ppl saying Kingsley wouldn’t play this season.
Of course Cal should bring in a kid who MAY move on after a year -- just like when top talent is drafted in the first round.Cal is stubborn enough to let him sit out like Sharpe. If anything just to let us fans know who is the boss. I hope that won't be the case, but I can definitely see a world where he would allow it again.
You got meyep
we have 3 or 4 on here that really hate any and all good UK news and have to try to diminish it
If Oscar had much better hops or if he was taller, he would have been gone regardless of his shooting. There are plenty of NBA players who are in the league because of their defense and rebounding. This is way different than Sharpe, but I’m sure the haters will say different. Big guys who can’t shoot aren’t wanted in the NBA right now, why do you think Oscar and Baccot came back?
You should probably be careful.Only if it's against Monkey Pox.
Totally agree. I don’t expect to see much of him. But, I want him to play those 8-10 min, or, whatever. It won’t bother me, at all, if he gets limited minutes & declares. I just don’t want him to sit all season, reap all the benefits & leave without ever seeing the court. It’s a shame we even have to consider the possibility.I get it but would have been surprised if he played much either way with Oscar in middle.
It isn't like Oscar was going to go down to 25mpg. The most I'd see UKO playing would be 8-10mpg tops. We also have no clue how raw he is.
I get your point though.
not just me, i think everyone knows your agendaYou got me
yeah bro you cracked the codenot just me, i think everyone knows your agenda
Agreed. My "here we go again" comment was mainly in part with the anti-Cal rethoric that will follow, and all of the talk that follows that will presumably be flooding this board. In my opinion, Kingsley and Sharpe's situation, both on and off the court, are apples and oranges.I mean as long as he plays who cares? Now if he sits and doesn't and then leaves that would suck and be a "here we go again."
That said, this situation is nothing like Sharpe. Sharpe was #1 player and was already on draft boards as a potential Top 10 pick before he ever stepped foot on UK's campus....also plays the most in demand position in NBA.
I’m trying to be respectful but could you at least declare pronouns when you respond to me so I know how to address you? It makes our fans look uneducated and intolerant. Let’s be classy.F!’k the shots. They’re poison to the body.
Saying 0-2 because Diallo wasn't a top 20 pick is being annoying selective. He stayed, it worked out.Obviously UK fans hope he plays here but Diallo and Sharpe give ample reasons to be concerned. Maybe this kid is different but we are 0-2 in similar situations. Sharpe didn't play and Diallo would not have played if he had been a top 20 pick.
We will see what this one does but until he actually steps on the court in a game doubt is reasonable.
He and Oscar “could” play some minutes together. Oscar could get some minutes at the 4. Will this happen? No idea, but it is possible. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t think this scenario would happen very often, but every now and then is possible.I get it but would have been surprised if he played much either way with Oscar in middle.
It isn't like Oscar was going to go down to 25mpg. The most I'd see UKO playing would be 8-10mpg tops. We also have no clue how raw he is.

yep those stupid SOB's will come back out of the wood work !!This will make the Cal-haters’ day….
That’s true but what nobody considers is that he may use this year to collect NIL and then take any draft position offered to him or go pro asap to get to working on his future career even in the G league. Never know about kids these days. He's going to have to play if he wants to even sniff a draft board. No NBA team is going to draft a lowly ranked freshman who didn't play, and who is extremely raw offensively. He's not Sharpe.
So really, the only issue would be if he plays early, and plays enough.. to show his talents, and then decides to shut it down. But I just don't see that happening.
