Depends on your perspective. I could easily say that it is impressive for a college big man to draw enough fouls to get 14 free throw attempts. And this is in addition to having 13 rebounds and a couple of blocks.

I'd take 13 rebounds a game all day. Granted it was one game, he still didn't look good. Not on offense or defense for that matter.

He went 0-5 from the field and played 36 minutes. Florida State made him look inadequate. He made some free throws to get his 10 points.
13 rebounds is a heck of a good number, but he wanted to be the man in the middle. Well, he has that, but he needs to be better.

You can't really say he had a bad game because he had zero field goals made.

He shot 14 free throws, so approximately 7 times while shooting, he was fouled. Surely he some of those that go uncounted become makes if he's not fouled.

It's a terrible loss.

But if your worst game so far is a double double--you're not terrible.

If a kid has a bad game, and "doesn't look impressive" and winds up with 10 and 13--he's doing alright.

I realize everyone wants to slam the kid and say he looks awful since he chose someone other than UK. But a double double on a bad night is solid any way you cut it.

There are many aspects to a game. He wasn't being hack-a-shaq'd like the free-throw numbers would suggest. His ability to get to the line in that game still remains the same, great. He shot 0% from the field, and his defense was subpar to say the least. 13 rebounds will always be great. Overall, I'd give him a c+ that game. Double double or not.

Against a decent looking FSU team. A team who is also familiar with him. Considering his shot wasn't going in I don't think he had that bad of a game. Not his fault the rest of the team was hugely subpar. Take out his 0-5 and the rest of the team was still only 14-45 for 31%. Averaging 15 and 11.5 through 2 games. About what he did last season. He'll probably end up with the same type of numbers in the SEC.

Again, simply because I am still not sold on Nick or EJ, and Sestina still has to prove it. If any of those guys prove to be solid options to start at center, Blackshear might be an upgrade, but certainly not to the point where I’m losing sleep over him not being here.

Why any big with a low post game would go to Florida is beyond me. They run a guard oriented offense. Now Kerry will be forced to primarily score off of 2nd chance rebound points. They went to him a few times towards the end when the game was already out of reach. That’s not the 6th best team in college basketball, and certainly not the 2nd best team in the SEC.

For him, it was a bad game. I think KB is a heck of a player. I really wanted him on this UK team, because he plays hard, he can the outside shot and he can rebound.
I think he's still trying to fit in on that Florida roster, but he really didn't look very good in that game yesterday.
