Z and Bradshaw are just so bad defensively
This is why Mitchell has to be the backup 5. Mitchell is bad defensively but better than those two.
I hope Thiero and Onyenso can get 34 minutes a game at the 4 and 5. Let Mitchell get 12 minutes backing them up.
But we all know once healthy. Mitchell will start and play 35 minutes and Thiero will get hardly no minutes.

Halftime lead pretty much thanks to Sheppard finally getting back in the game. He steals, he scores, he find open shooters for them to score. Difference between leading or probably being tied or trailing at half.
People need to remember when Sheppard gets burned when trying to make a steal how many times he gets the steal and sets up a score.

Now that said the Florida play off Clayton 5 seconds left was inexcusable and he should never been off him on that play it cost us a win.

Our nameless coach can keep trying to put the spotlight on DJ and Edwards, but anyone with a clue knows that this team will only go as far as Reeves and Sheppard take it. Reed knows how to keep our offense under control and get the ball to scorers in scoring position.

Cal needs to figure out what he's going to do with Bradshaw and DJ.

You either bring them off the bench and we look better because of it. Or keep forcing them into the game for draft reasons and run the risk of an early exit.

Feels like it's going to be the latter. I'm actually at the point where I'm glad to see them struggling because it forces the notion that these two guys should be coming off the bench.

Watching Creighton run half court sets and watching us run half court sets just makes me shake my head
Most years our halfcourt offense looks like crap. That's on the coach. All we do is have like 3 guys standing around while a 4th sets a half a$$ pick so the 5th can try and drive recklessly. We should be setting multiple picks all over the place and causing mismatches and getting open shots from our shooters. It's the same problem that causes us to struggle with getting good looks at the end of halves most every game.

We shouldn't undermine DJ's defense, guys.

He has been our best perimeter defender, by a large margin, since he came back from injury.

That is 50% of the game after all.

Shep/DJ/Reeves is a good perimeter to me, especially since Rob's offense is lacking right now.

No player is perfect. But really good things happen with Sheppard on the floor a whole helluva lot more than bad things.

Heard Freemantle is transferring to KENTUCKY. I know you’re not happy about this but it’s big news for 2024-2025!
Is that true or you just making that up ? I mean I would be fine with it Kentucky is my #1 team.
