I have no problem with Kavenaugh defending himself. Doesn't mean I believe his denial more than her accusation. And no, again you are wrong with your position on a statement. What is factual, a senate hearing to hear a "he said/she said" commentary with a bunch of grandstanding politicians is not going to uncover any truths unless one of them will come out and say "you know what......the other person has the story correct and I was wrong". That isn't going to happen. It is a clown show. Period
Now Feinstupid says she doesn't know if it's true? It's a **** show perpetrated by Feinstein and the liberals. Putting a statement about somebody into the public domain that accuses a judge of a felony that can not be proved or unproved after 35 years.

I actually agree but for reasons we all know, some individuals argue and make ridiculous statements to every comment I make.

But I will add, is this a true and valid reason to stop Kavenaugh ? That is the question your side is not interested in finding out.

So that’s why she took a polygraph?

That’s why she is welcoming an investigation by the FBI? She is willing to speak with investigators knowing the ramifications of lying to the FBI?

You’re an idiot and a piece of ****.

Yes, it is a complete **** show. That we agree on and don't know why you are so defensive when I state it as such. What you are dead wrong on among just being wrong on many other points is this is not a court of law. This is a court of public opinion which means nothing more than politics as it pertains to her accusation and his denial.
And who is at fault for that? All she has to do is go to the police and file the report. Right? It’s pretty clear what this is, Bru, and the opposition’s reaction to it is justified.

The fact she took a poly means jack and **** on its face. You have no idea what the questions were, you have no idea about anything related to it, you only know she took one and supposedly passed it. Wonder if she would submit to a bi-partisan list of questions in a poly?

Regarding the investigation, she’s willing to go through the FBI channels because she can’t be proven incorrect any more than it could be confirmed. There is no fear of perjury.

Some fake sassed straw man nonsense you’re throwing out.

I think Ford needs to come tp the realization that if she does not testify, this is all for naught. I'm fine with her preference for an investigation prior to testimony, but she needs to testify without it, if that's how this plays out.
Agree, The can of worms has been opened. Going silent now does her cause no good whatsoever.

True story guys. A lot of you know I travel about 50% of the time. I’m a loyal delta guy so I go through Atlanta most flights. When I travel, I’m usually wearing some WVU garb and it usually ends up in a conversation with someone.

This one time, can’t quite remember the month, it was around tax reform discussions. July-Dec I think. So, I had this older gentleman come up to me and offer to buy me a drii and thank me for my service. I happened to have on a Marine Corps hat so I said, sure. He happened to be an alum and we struck up a fairly good conversation over a couple of drinks. Most of the conversation involved tax reform, he said he had a lot of experience in tax and business and didn’t think it was a good idea. I politely disagreed and so the afternoon went waiting on these storms to pass. 1 drink turned into 2 and 2 turned into 3. It was a great conversation, guy was really nice.

Well, I had to pee and as I got up to go, he said he did as well. Ok. So, I’m at the urinal taking a piss and this guy happens to peak over the divider and take a long gander at my unit. I was like, hey man, have some respect. Then it got weird. He complimented me on my cock and said he’d give me $50 if I let him blow me. Obviously, I said no and laughed it off. I’ve been cruised by older gentlemen in hotel bars and being an advocate of gays, I wasn’t offended, just not into it, ya know? I zipped up and started to go wash my hands. Next thing I know, this guy stepped up behind me and grabbed the sink and weighed on me a couple of times. Ok, this time I pushed him back and a little more forcefully explained I wasn’t gay.

I’ve kind of kept this quiet for the last year, because as it turns out, during the conversation the guy caught me checking the board during our conversation. He smirked, and asked what my board handle was because he posts some as well. I told him, he started laughing and told me who he was. I feel I need to get this trauma out and to make sure you guys knew to be weary on your travels or if you ever ran across him as he’s prone to sexual assault. It was Bru, so be careful. Thanks, I’m glad I could share.

The timing of all of this is meant to do one thing. Delay the appointment until after the mid-terms with Dems hopinge they take the Senate and derail Kavanaugh completely.

Her testifying... pointless. Kavanaugh testifying to refute... pointless. It's a he said she said about an event that happened over 35 years ago between 2 teens. It's going nowhere.

Give her until Monday and either **** or get off the pot.

Really, this isn’t about Kavanaugh, it’s about Ford. On Friday, this broad’s attorney will say that she is willing to meet with the committee but will need at least 1 more week to prepare. This will enable the media an additional week to continue pouring on the onslaught of calls for a pointless investigation. They haven’t gotten enough traction yet and there isn’t an overwhelming sympathy for the victim and outcry of support from the public to force an investigation. They need to buy some time. They’re currently losing the PR game, but it’s tricky and can change in a second.

GOP is in a tough spot with female voters. An additional week on the surface won’t seem like a big stretch and it’s reasonable to ask. They’ll give it. If they don’t, it’ll play horribly. Once they do, expect all hell to break loose.

This is all about trying to drag this out.

You're probably right...it is just about dragging out or delaying the confirmation vote. The only fly in the drink is the public may completely tire of this obvious circus and punish the Dems even more in about 8 weeks come November 6th.

People are infuriated, and while the Dems may succeed in holding off a confirmation vote just as you described, they may also seal their fate getting absolutely obliterated in these upcoming midterms. Do they want to win the war, or just extract this small scalp in the battle?

Stay tuned.

I actually applaud Feinstein for that statement because it's truthful. She has no idea if the accusation is accurate or not. That's where the value of the testimony lies. Get it on record, and let the committee vote after hearing both sides. I think it's a fair way to move forward.

A drunk teenager isn't too likely to file a police report. A lot of folks live with traumas like this in their pasts and choose to stay quiet about them for various reasons. I think she could have a legitimate complaint, and it could simply be that the prospect of her alleged attacker rising to the Supreme Court finally made her decide to come forward. Without hearing both sides out, it's hard to decide what's real here, and it may still be difficult after hearing them out. Also, if she's legit, no matter what Kavanaugh has become since that day, to her he's still the guy who assaulted her.

It's really the only reasonable way to proceed at this point as an FBI investigation would not be determinative since so many details are missing from so long ago. It's impossible to disprove, so it essentially comes down to the credible testimony of the principles involved. One is willing to face questioning, and one is not. If there's a credibility gap, I place it on the one who refuses to come forward & testify.

Its not hard to see what is going on here. If she was legit this would have come up 10 years ago. Anyone dumb enough to fall for this is lost.

The FBI also has done half a dozen background checks into his entire life, including his High school years and even if he's guilty of her charges, there certainly wasn't anyone else who got his attention at any other time like she had his that night. No other incidents like this, not even a hint of one! I don't know what she looked like in H.S., but judging from her looks today either Brett was really drunk that night, or there have been some really ugly chicks in his Life through the years. I've seen his Wife, apparently he got Religion before he married her.

I watched her lawyer say she will cooperate with the committee in whatever way they want her to on air, “even if that means testifying without an investigation”. So, I don’t know where all the “if she doesn’t testify, she’s a liar” talk came from in the first place.

Second, didn’t the same thing happen with Hill, and wasn’t it GOP Senators calling the FBI investigation the “right thing to do”?

Third, it’s a lifetime appointment to the most influential court in the land, I have no problem with seriously ridiculous scrutiny.

And no one that supports the GOP has the right to talk about delays in this situation....,as nothing was more political and perverse than how the GOP delayed the vote on Scalia’s seat until a new President was sworn in.

What I find amazing is this man does have a pretty detailed Judicial record for review, and we're talking about whether he tried to grab a tit in High school to determine if he's qualified to sit on the U.S. Supreme Court ?

Sure, this woman has built a very strong resume and career. To think that she's needs to be treated like a 6 year old is ridiculous. She's made the allegation almost 2 months ago, more than enough time to pull up her big girl panties, and she either comes to testify Monday or the committee should proceed as if there were was no claim.

Not sure what you have been watching but she is not going to testify Monday. She's built a very impressive resume over the years and to think she has to be treated like a 6 year old is making her an infant. She's not. She made these claims in a letter almost two months ago, the committee has granted her an audience this Monday and she is balking. Put your big girl panties on and back up your claim. If not, the committee should vote on the info in the record.

No, it’s not relevant unless you just want to continue to whine about it. That seat has been filled.

So, you agree then I guess that this is a delay tactic and not really about the woman’s plight? Glad we could dispense with the ******** and call this what it is.

I’d have to be a moron to think it’s above members of either political party or even the US Senate to use something like this as a despicable delay tactic. But allowing testimony in this situation, or just slowing the process to ensure something isn’t missed isn’t so horrible, imo.

Nothing is wrong unless there is something to hide. They simply don't want Kavenaugh to talk to the FBI on this subject. Just like they don't want Trump to talk to the Special Council on that investigation.

The delay tactics by the Dems is nothing compared to the hypocrisy, lies and closed minded attitude of the GOP. Especially looking at some of these same GOP senators and their demands for a FBI investigation of the Anita Hill allegations against Thomas. Now they lie and say it isn't possible or needed, depending on what day it is and what lie they are putting forth.
