Didn't say a thing about this year. I'm talking about the perception of both leagues every year. Go back fifty years if you like. The SEC has outperformed the B12 in the tournament with worse seeds. The SEC gets poor seeding, partly because of the league's perception.True. The Big12 has to have another team other than Kansas start performing in the NCAA tournament, but this is a new year and a new crop of teams and talents. Past performance in the NCAA has zero impact on how any of these current teams will perform in the tourney. Kentucky didn't do well in the NCAA last year. By your logic, this year's Kentucky team will not do well in the NCAA tournament. By realistic logic, you can see that is false, because this Kentucky team is not the same as last year's team and has a solid title shot. In the same way, the Big 12 teams this year are not the same as the Big 12 teams last year.
