Wow. Up until Payton Watson: No Bruin has had their name called in the NBA draft since 2019, but that is likely to change Thursday night.

Keels 41. Hardy 2’nd round. Wild *** draft.
Keels was projected as a second rounder. Hardy was a wildcard. So many undrafted free agents these days capable of being picked makes it wild. Where would Oscar have gone? He could have been a first rounder or an undrafted free agent. If you’re not a solid lottery pick who knows what will happen?

Funny thing is Peyton Watson was drafted in the first round, and he was a benchwarmer for UCLA this year. Must suck to see your backup picked over you.

But that’s the nature of the “draft on potential” thing. Scouts were really turned off by Juzang’s slow feet.

That’s wild considering his ability to shoot.
His shooting ability is overrated imo. He got publicity because of the run in the NCAA Tournament last year. He’s a career 35% shooter from 3 (36% this past year). At UK, that would put him below guys like Ramel Bradley and Davion Mintz. He’s a decent player, but not nearly as good an outside shooter as he gets credit for. Good luck to him.

Should have stayed in last year while he was a hot name.

Should have left last season while the iron was hot. If he is at KY he would have been gone. Bad decision on his part.
Nope, would have been the same result if he left last year. The feedback from the NBA is why he stayed in college.

If he would have stayed at UK and not gotten drafted, UK fans would have been all over Cal for ruining him. Not one peep from anyone about Cronin. Not one. UK fans are the most negative fans in all of sports.

Nah we demand the most from our Coaches players and the University. We are were the GOLD STANDARD. Al McGuire said they KY had it before you and will have it after you. The fan base is the most passionate and demand excellence. We haven’t been getting it lately.
