Juzang transferring

You realize every program loses 1.7 kids a year to transfers ( last time it was reported that was the number it could be up). UK loses less than that or around that as well. If we have problem everyone does. I think every single SEC team has had 1 transfer so far in the past 2 weeks. Hell Miss St has 5. If you really think there is a cultural problem you are so far behind the reality of cbb I don't know what to tell you.
I might be out of touch with CBB reality but I also don't recall any other coaches kid transferring out. That's how ridiculous all this has gotten. Cal can't even keep his own kid happy. And how many teams lose a 5 star to transfer in the middle of the dang season, two years in a row?

So sick of this ****. I guess his comment early this year about him struggling and being pushed is why he came to UK was complete ********.

Cal better not advocate that Juzang be immediately eligible at his new school like he did with Baker.

Yes I agree. It's the fact that either A: Cal recruits over kids (which I don't like) and/or B: These kids are super entitled and want out. Juzang could've been a great 2-3 year player.

This better mean Quickley is coming back.
Give me Boston and/or Clarke over a sophomore Juzang any day of the week and twice on Sunday. Cal needs to continue recruiting elite talent every year. Don’t like when guys like Juzang transfer but it is what it is

Over react much ? When have we had 1-2 a year ? More like ONE (1) (UNO), every couple years. All mighty Duke has THREE this year, so save the theatrics.
We had two this year, Dragon and Juzang. We had three last year, Quade, Brad and Baker. And we've had at least one every year since Cal's been here. Dodson, Poole, Harrow, Wiltjer, Lee, Matthews, SKJ, Wynyard, etc.

It’s a culture thing....please don’t make this political but things are very different on the west coast in a lot of areas compared to the east coast, south, & Midwest. Arizona is about as far west as good California kids (who have options) typically go. It’s not a Kentucky thing it’s a culture thing and perhaps we should only recruit players from California who are only going to stay one year.

Part of the problem is Cal refuses to install any sort of motion offense. It's just isolate, isolate, isolate and then jack up a prayer. A lot of kids want to be a part of an offense, not an afterthought.

This is becoming too much of a regular thing at UK lately.
Says Alex O’Connell and quite likely Matthew Hurt at Duke. Can’t make everyone happy. We have 3 players coming in all similar to his position. He also probably knows who is coming back (IQ or Hagans) he doesn’t want to get 10 minutes a game max. Not a huge loss and it happens literally everywhere.

Just like UK was the Dragon's dream school. That lasted all of 18 games.

Juzang here for a year and I’m gonna bet that was his plan.

It doesn’t get him to the next level, and Cal isn’t promising anyone.

Good luck, it was brief, but getting used to it.

He apparently doesn’t like what he sees coming back. I don’t expect stardom somewhere else though.

And you have to guard 1-5 or you’re out.

Always hate to see a shooter leave.

Can understand that he wants to go where he can start and surely he’s good enough to start at many schools, good schools. Best of luck JJ

BTW No kid from Cali and maybe most other places knows anything of the Kentucky mystique. It’s all about the NBA these days, at least the money part of it.

And so it goes.

LOL he ain't starting over Clarke nor is he starting over Boston or IQ ( who you gotta believe is coming back with this news) . I understand this move especially if IQ is coming back.

Right. If Quickley comes back and starts alongside Boston and Clarke, Juzang is fighting with Askew, Allen, and Fletcher for minutes in a reserve spot. It still really sucks to lose him, I had hoped he'd be a 3-4 year guy for us. But if Quickley comes back, I'll forget all about losing Juzang.

What a roller-coaster ride that was...

-Commits to Washington
-Changes mind
-Commits to UK
-Starts out at an all-American pace
-Falls apart as conference play hits
-Meltdown "F'n Selfish" game at Alabama
-Redeems himself down the stretch
-Returns even though he was a 1st rounder
-Gets in a wreck and runs from the scene
-Proves to be a consistent force and we win a title
Who are you talking about? We've not had a title since 2011-12.

Kids don’t want to wait their turn which I figured Juzang would have played a major role in next seasons team. It does suck that these kids do not have any patience what so ever

Your post makes zero sense. If he was going to play a major role next season, then he would have waited his turn.

Juzang isnt getting drafted after 3 years.

He's got next year to blow it up and then after that its second round at best.

And hes not going to blow it up sharing the rock with a bunch of first rounders.

Re read that list of players and tell me how heart broke you really are..

I liked Johnny ALOT but at the end of the day his roster spot will be filled with a really good basketball player.

Good luck to him though. Times like these makes families want to be closer together.

If you can’t stand the heat get out of the kitchen, next player up.
Yep, doesn’t bother me in the least. Not sure why people get so worked up when players leave. Juzang gave up more points than he scored. Allen will be better player next year anyways. It’s college basketball. Transfers happen.

There's nothing to base this on. It's a nice thought. I hope he's a great player. But one has made shots in big games, and one hasn't played a second of college basketball.
