I saw Juzang as a lottery pick, but apparently he didn't get that same info. NIL sure helps in coming back though.

Should be a very interesting year for UCLA. Haven't see any OOC games scheduled yet.

He shot poorly at the combine, which was good news for UCLA. He could probably get stronger as well.

Having Juzang back for UCLA, means that a lot of good players want to get better.

I think its good that you got players deciding to not go to the nba early. This trend should help us this year. But im not going to argue that UCLA has us beat in overall recruiting, we do pretty well.

Juzang wanted playing time, and probably the stress of KY basketball is worse than at UCLA.
He wanted to go home. Had nothing to do with the stress of playing at Kentucky. The kid was just homesick.

The program has an aggressive approach but most importantly an extensive amount of people who in the words of Orlando Antigua help them get "tomorrow's news yesterday". Justus was gifted a position he didn't earn and he didn't have any connections to the right people so he wasted time and would not even bother recruiting some guys who this staff would deem as top priorities. He liked certain types of players and an "easy" recruitment. Often didn't have backstory or the balls to speak to people which leads to mistakes/roster turnover. For example:

Justus story I heard recently regarding Johnny Juzang from someone who works at Johnny Juzang's HS. Said Johnny never wanted to go to UK--it was Maxie pushing it for clout/attention. So when Cal mentioned how he was "homesick" and wanted to be "home" it was 100% true and Cal had to be pissed that the background info wasn't done to know this--all that was needed was to ask people at Harvard Westlake and you'd have gotten that first hand from the Basketball Coaching Staff to teachers, to students. But Golden Boy was so giddy that Maxie wanted in he pushed for it--and while Juzang was part of a successful team--he had one foot out the door the minute he stepped on campus. That is wasting time at a program like UK. Juzang could've started every game and he was going to be back in LA. These mistakes cannot happen and were happening far too often.
