Most of this fan base is Morons. Look at this thread for example. Kentucky basketball is good year in and year out, except for this year when basically none of the top programs are good. Duke and UNC meet unranked for the first time in 50 years, a literal pandemic destroyed the off season so all these teams that are usually up to par by now just aren’t. Half this board thinks Allen is some god because he can sometimes shoot the 3, some on here now think Billy Gillespie is the reason Cal has a title here. Absolute Morons.

Only a moron looks at Duke and UNC being bad while not realizing that they are getting mired in the same shnit that Cal has gotten us in. The difference is K is smart enough to adjust. Roy too maybe. Cal however is broken.

With me it’s more watching with a sick fascination and with no excitement, but very little downside as far as outcome. If we win, good for us. If we lose, that’s good too coz it’s one more straw on the camel’s back. If it ever breaks we’ll get some type of change.

I never root for Communists
Good grief....Many if them are teenagers. The over-the-top labeling of anyone who takes a different approach to expressing their 2nd amendment rights has gone off the rails.
Some could say your attitude about the 2nd amendment is very "Nazi" like.
Is that a good description for your expression of your beliefs? I doubt it. Should they also be jailed like in Russia or China for expressing their opinion?
Should they and Cal be "hated" as some on this board now say?
It's just ridiculous.

Fine...you disagree with the kneeling thing, but jumping to a Communist label, hatred or my Nazi label example is just silly drama-speak.

You’re not wrong on any point, but I’m not sold that the internet accurately reflects our fanbase. Think it generally reflects the worst of our fanbase.

I could see Jackson making an NBA roster. Boston, not so much.
All 3 will be in the NBA and you watch, Boston will be a lights out shooter within 6 months of getting to the NBA. They have coaches up there that will make him a player.

Here's the kicker, Cal will take the credit for it.

I wanted them to win last night.
I was actually more disappointed when they rescheduled and actually played the game and it wasn’t canceled.

I don’t know what is going on anymore.

Why do so many on this board have such a dramatic problem with black folks expressing themselves? Honestly. I sincerely don't get it. It's almost, and I know this can't be true, that this board is filled with racists that exemplify the stereotypes of the south. And don't give me the disrespecting the flag nonsense, because that doesn't make any sense and most of these same support Trump who called dead vets losers, mocked a war hero and called our generals war mongers.

I'll never HOPE we lose, not even a little. The only thing that little voice says to me is "maybe this is the loss that makes Cal see what most of us have seen for many years and start caring about UK instead of draft picks".
That's all I get, but so far, it looks to me like Cal doesn't have that same little voice. He’s lost, stubborn and has no idea what to do, but he won't admit it.

I too hope he changes his recruiting strategy, but that won't fix this year. This team isn't very talented, I'm not sure what you all expect him to do to correct it this year.

I could give two ***** if they kneel, stand, sit, run, walk. This is not a good basketball team. Whoever scouted this talent needs firing. Our point guard play is atrocious. We have absolutely nothing inside. We have a bunch of 6’6 to 6’8” bone racks who get tossed around in games like a sweat rag. I’m nearly 50 years old, this is the worst team in terms of just about everything. In the last 2 years in this state, I could put together a group of guys from in state that would be better.

How many of you find yourself in a deep dark part of your gut....find yourself in a situation like today, hoping we lose. Ever since the Kneel I basically stop caring about the team...and now watching this stihshow continue there is this little voice in my head pulling for us to lose. I cannot believe its come to that but just between us boys....I bet I am not the only one. The players aside from Allen are not likable at all and Cal.....oh boy I really want him to go. So if we can all keep a secret does anyone feel like I do. It must really get worse before it can get better. Spare me the "I'm blue till I die and will never give up ont them." Whatever. Then enjoy this rolling train wreck that will not improve as long as the current regime is in charge.
I feel the same way except its not deep down in my gut. Its on the top of my heart I want them to lose so bad. I have been a fan since birth. Kentucky basketball was something me and my family and friends bonded over. My father and I shared UK sports up until the day he died. Now I could care less about the team and program. you never kneel for the flag. I will be a hater until the day Cal and the university beg for forgiveness or Cal gets booted. Then maybe I may come back but something may be lost forever and thats okay. F$#$ CAL

I never said anything about fixing this year. It’s toast and he is to blame. He created this mess. Some of us saw this coming, obviously he didn't or doesn't care.
Like I said many times, this crash was caused the second he let Hagans, Richards, EJ and Juzang walk. Then, he screwed up again when he evaluated Boston and thought he could carry the team. Then, he made it worse by to rally missing on a pg. Everyone had to know that a 4* hs junior would not be able to run pg at UK.
However, Calipari cost us a bunch of wins early in the season while force feeding the square peg (Boston) into the round hole (made him the focal point).
You may or may not agree with me on this, but if this team was coached correctly, we would have a winning record right now. He allowed Boston to wreck too many games by playing AAU ball and he didn't reign him in. He just watched it happen.

I don’t pull for us to lose. But, I simply don’t care one way or another. Wins and losses don’t really matter at this point. The season is a total bust.

I can not actually hope they lose. But after the kneeling, I don’t care that they lose. I see it as karma. When I saw that, I made it clear on here that I would not watch another game, and I haven’t. I hope the whole team and coaching staff leave. Just a pathetic display of ignorance as to who they are representing.

Think if the easily triggered snowflakes outraged by civil rights are in fact outraged and they do in fact care about Kentucky... they’ll do the program a solid and stop being fans. Definitely a net loss due to their presence.

Irritated by the poor play, the OAD philosophy, the players (shooters) leaving early, etc., etc.

But I'm w/ the OP for this reason above all: CAL HATES US.

When H. Clinton referred to "the Deplorables" with disdain, that is EXACTLY how I think Cal feels about 'having' to coach here. Just like I think she loves her country but hates 50% of the people in it, I think he loves the facilities, the support from UK, the prestige, the limelight, etc, but deep down I think he HATES that he has to coach here for "people like UK fans."

He's criticized passionate fans from the beginning ("you Basketball Bennies") but now it's descending into demeaning and mocking ("I'm sure none of our 'fine fans' were saying bad stuff about BJ!") and I swear that instances like Allen playing only 7:00 is in part done to SPITE the fans.

I'll bet he hoped against hope they could win w/out Allen's shooting JUST so he could pound that home in the post-game press conference.

I'll also bet everytime he sees his direct-deposit entry he gets a picture in his head of one of us and laughs and laughs knowing "he got us."

I see it both ways. Decades of police brutality and oppression is something black people feel passionate about. Standing for the flag, especially for those who have fought for their country, is something many feel passionate about. Both can be true at the same time. I'm for positive change, which our country has been doing, but I fear many want to throw the baby out with the bath water, when it comes to how our country was founded.

Roy also had a team last year that was absolute dog ish. You can blame it on injury if you want but even if Cal had his point guard go down you “Morans” wouldn’t let that be an excuse for him. But yeah give Roy as an example of someone who can adjust after back to back seasons not even close to expectations. But Cal who hasn’t had back to back seasons like that since he’s been here is the one who can’t adjust.

If someone tells you why they are doing something and that it has nothing to do with disrespecting anything, that they just want to raise awareness for something and they 100% support the thing you are trying to say they are disrespecting and that is known and has been explained 1000 times. Then they do it and you still think it’s disrespectful, then not only are you incompetent but it also makes you look pretty ignorant.

I don't want them to lose, but sadly I don't really care either. The reality for me is that I have never been a fan of Cal- pre UK so it's always been bitter sweet for me. I appreciate what he has done for us, I always want to see the big blue do well, but as each year has passed and the revolving door has gotten worse, I have grown less and less engaged. I have opinions on the current state of UK basketball, but I keep them to myself because fanhood is irrational and overall irrelevant in my decision on how I feel but I will say I haven't watched more than a few mins of a game since early last season- which is unfortunate

You don't get to decide that, unless you want to force it. Simply telling to me to do something won't work, will take much more than that. Nobody died and left you the ultimate boss, so stop acting like it. Have your opinion and I will respect that, but being a bully and acting like an *** won't help nothing. GET OFF MY LAWN!!! BS. They could not even say why they were doing it. And there are much better ways to do it without dividing everyone. The one thing we always had in common was UK basketball, this team chose to divide us. Well i hope they are happy reaping their rewards.

False, it is your being ignorant to the fact that there are actually two sides to the argument. They also know many, many people see it as disrespectful. In todays social justice world there are many things people use to do that are considered disrespectful that are no longer tolerated but, this seems to be a one sided view as others feeling are not being factored in. Simply put, only one side can disrespect these days and it is considered ok because of social pressure.

More power to Cal and his kids expressing their views peacefully and demonstrating the power of democracy.
Would you prefer they do it the MAGA way and beat a cop over the head with the flag and attack the Capitol to express their views? Would you rather they burn down a police station BLM style to express their views?
Nobody has the power to control how people display patriotism in our democracy, nor should we. If you don't like kneeling, don't kneel. It's not communism....it's democracy.
Move to North Korea, Russia or China if you feel that strongly about enforcing patriotic flag observance. Maybe you'd prefer it there where you don't have a choice.

I don't have it in me as a Kentucky fan to want them to lose, I just don't. Do I expect it now? Of course, because this isn't a well constructed team by any metric.

As for the kneeling: I too feel it's a show of total disrespect and should never have been allowed; there's no place for that in college sports, none. What many fail to realize is that, if you actually look at the statistics, blacks are not shot/killed by police at a higher rate than any other race, they just aren't. The percentages tell us that. Look it up. (Per capita of each race's population % )

Of course there are racists of every color, I see it directed at me, as a white, by blacks, almost every day, but that doesn't make ME a racist; I just realize and understand there are black people who are racist, just as there are whites who are as well. All I can do is treat others the way I want to be treated, what others do and think is something I can't control. But the bottom line is do not bring politics into college sports. It's why I refuse to watch/support the NBA now.

No, I want my Cats to win every time they play, and it hurts to see my beloved program fall to such depths, and it never should have occurred, Covid be damned. All other teams have had to work around it and deal with it; UK is not unique so that can't be used an excuse.

Many of us have watched as Cal's "system" has slowly begun to unravel over the course of the past several years; this turn of events was very predictable if you cared to watch and understand the dynamics of what was occurring.

Cal just needs to leave at season's end, his time here is over.
