You’d think by now you’d realize that our lack of money dictates a lot of the decisions at RU. “Fire everyone” sounds great until the bill arrives.
Here we go with we don’t win more becasue we don’t have enough money

BC is 3-3 with a good win over Pitt today and they spend less than us

Come on, I don’t think you can compare the Big Ten with the ACC. We’d have been competitive in the ACC right away.

Can we though?

It's easy to say that looking at the current rosters but it's doubtful they have 60% of these guys if Rutgers were in the ACC. Rutgers could easily be no better than BC or Sewercuse just as easily as they could be in the top third.

Would we? Remembering WF smacked us in the bowl, BC beat us this year. We’d overall be better but not like we’d be upper third. Middle of ACC on a good year

Pitt lost to UNC and now BC. i think BC’s best win will be us at the end of the year.
You could be right.
Narduzzi should have not flapped his gums about respect and ranking after beating Bucknell, Miami OH, Sewercuse and Va Tech.

Nebraska fans were all giddy starting 5-0 when their signature wins were Michigan State and Maryland. Play some real competition and lose 2 in a row.

And we crushed UNC in 2014, have beaten Miami, Syracuse, BC, VTech. I said we’d be competitive, not be late 2010s Clemson.

Oh now you are going to get some of them big mad
ha true but considering I'm literally the only person here or connected to Rutgers today that knows how everything played out is spot on. TP was just the man in the chair and had zero impact on it.

the love affair and emotional userping of reason with anyone connected to former and current Rutgers players should be studied. Our fanbase just embarrasses themselves with all things athletics

The amazing part is that they are so invested in former RU coaches and officials who success was actually very limited given the overall landscape of college athletics

There is a guy on the RT who says winning isnt high on his priority list and he makes endless posts berating all the people who demand accountability and wins

He still did something Greg did not- won a share of a conference championship! (blah, blah, blah-with Greg's players.)---but with no boneheaded, snatching defeat from the jaws of victory play calls, and with infinitely less resources than Greg has been gifted. It's not about being related or a super fan---it is FACTS.
You do not believe Flood snatched defeat against a one legged Louisville QB?

Correct, plus she’s made one good hire already in Redus and they are working on lots of things facility wise, just need more of that fund raising though to get some of it done.
Can we wait until he wins a game? Seems promising, but Locksley and Fran Brown are great recruiters and would never be considered good hires

Greg has a much longer track record of such things. IIRC, key in that loss was a phantom ineligible receiver downfield call against Rutgers. Greg's boneheaded losses were pretty much solely due to his boneheaded play calls and strategic decisions. Besides, Kyle Flood is not our current head coach.

We beat an extremely depleted bowl Miami but the team they desired they season

we’ve beaten and lost to BC

We did beat VT but don’t think we’d beat them Now as they are much better

we would be a middle ACC team in good years

Crappy Pitt beat VT, and so did an awful Cal. VT currently 10th in ACC standings. :)

That last statement says it all.
This is why a change is needed now.

What AI says about Julie's tenure as the RU AD, when asked this: "what did Julie Hermann do as the Rutgers ad that helped the university":

>As Rutgers athletic director from 2013 to 2015, Julie Hermann is generally credited with several initiatives that benefited the university's athletics program, even though her tenure was also marked by controversy. According to Rutgers Athletics:
  • She helped lead Rutgers' transition into the Big Ten Conference, which officially occurred on July 1, 2014. The move significantly increased the university's athletic visibility, competition level, and media exposure. [scarletknights.com], [rutgers.edu]
  • She restructured athletic fundraising and development efforts, contributing to a record-setting fundraising year and adding nearly 4,000 new donors through seat-gift initiatives. [scarletknights.com]
  • Football season-ticket sales reached 31,016 in 2014, the highest total in program history at that time. [scarletknights.com]
  • She introduced the R Care program, which provided student-athletes with support services related to academics, health, career planning, and personal development. [scarletknights.com], [rutgers.edu]
  • Under her leadership, Rutgers reported strong academic results, including 196 Academic All-Big Ten honorees during Rutgers' first Big Ten season and improvements in Academic Progress Rate (APR) scores across many athletic programs. [scarletknights.com]
  • She oversaw upgrades to athletic facilities, including improvements at the football stadium and the RAC basketball arena, along with renovations to offices and support spaces for multiple sports programs. [scarletknights.com]<
At the same time, her tenure was controversial because of allegations related to her earlier coaching career and other issues that generated negative publicity. She was removed as athletic director in November 2015. [en.wikipedia.org]
In short, her most significant contribution was helping Rutgers navigate its move into the Big Ten while expanding fundraising, student-athlete support, and facility improvements

They’ve been great the last 3 seasons, and largely middle of the pack for most of the last 2 decades.

When I think of sustained dominance, I think Ohio State, Michigan, Oregon, even Penn State - schools that have been in the top 10 nearly every year for the last 10, 15, 20 years.

5 years from now, Ohio State will be better than us. Same in 10 years. Aside from Miami (assuming Mario doesn’t have a Dabo like fall off), is there a school in the ACC you’d bet with confidence will be better than us in 5 or 10 years?

I mean, is AI really calling the extra charge for season ticket holders an accomplishment?

With Schiano still the HC.
I'd say these schools :
Boston College, California, Clemson, Duke, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Louisville, Miami, NC State, North Carolina, Pittsburgh, SMU, Stanford, Virginia, Virginia Tech, and Wake Forest
The "Tutti Frutti " will suck more in 5,10,20 and forever, even with Greg (running the table with a new field house)

Without Schiano maybe Miami & SMU
