also in no way is TP the only one to blame..the entire lot of them..bog, lawyers and Barchi needed to go. I could give a **** about merger...he didnt watch the video..but TP also needed to demand that he watch it

Inside Rutgers' 17-day investigation

If after seeing the Mike Rice video, the initial instincts of Tim Pernetti and an investigator were to fire Rice, a simple question is raised: Why wasn't he fired?

what a low bar and can you tell me his biggest win

Surviving years under the unqualified AD is one big win.
Beat an SEC team twice.-how many SEC teams has Greg defeated in 18 years?
Beat Michigan-when has Greg done that?
Had Rutgers ranked for 7 straight weeks.
Defeated a 10-3 Cincinnati

You’d think by now you’d realize that our lack of money dictates a lot of the decisions at RU. “Fire everyone” sounds great until the bill arrives.

"No, no ... Schiano will be fired by Monday. We should spend all weekend discussing his replacement!!!" <--- 90% of this board every Saturday night this season.

Pernetti wanted to fire him (a decision I disagree with, btw). Barchi said you can do whatever you want, but you can't have any more money (in other words, "You can't fire him.") It's laughable to believe Pernetti could tell the president of the university what to do.

The only mistake Pernetti made was not realizing faster that he was being made the fall guy.

And I'm pretty sure the university's legal council told him that he couldn't fire Rice.
