He remained with the group when they evolved into Manfred Mann & the Manfreds. And he was still with the group when they achieved a good bit of success as Manfred Mann. To celebrate, their 1st hit, which was a cover (which they made famous), and then their biggest hit, which was a cover of a Dylan song that they released long before Dylan did:
