I can't give any names but my best friend's daughter is an outstanding BB player and was at the game yesterday with her family who are avid UK fans. She is being recruited by a number of major programs but UK women's staff aren't really recruiting her yet because she is, I believe, a junior. It appears that if UK offers, she will accept as UK is her dream school. From everything I've been told and seen in a few clips, she will be a valuable addition to any major college roster.
FWIW I’d love to see the young lady in blue and white

He’ll I tried to get in touch with KB about a 7ft1 center out of China that would have been great for us but evidently the university doesn’t think A….we deserve access to the coaching staff and B……we don’t know talent ……both A and B piss me off to no end ……

Nothing against the player but I don’t want any player that has a leech for a dad who “wants all the Smoke” but apparently can’t handle it. Take your one truck pony *** on down the road dad. No one player is worth having to put up with an assclown for a dad. Move on.

Well you don't need to worry. You're going to get your wish. JQ won't be in Lexington next year. A healthy JQ for a season would have been special here.

Had the SS situation not happened, I doubt there would be this much scrutiny. Completely different situations, but it’s not crazy that the fans are skeptical.
It's closer to the Jarred Vanderbilt situation than Sharpe. Vanderbilt had fans excited in his debut against South Carolina with the production he gave in limited minutes. Never could stay healthy long enough to stay on the floor.

So would Shawn Kemp. I could care less if he comes back. Shoujd be fairly easy to replace all that production. We could put a tree stump on the court and get his numbers.
Stupid post. Kemp never played here. You don't need to attack the player because of his Dad's remarks. JQ didn't look like no tree stump going up against Zuby and St. John's.

Stupid poster calls my post stupid.
Called it for what it is. You claim to have nothing against the 18-year old kid, then immediately call him a 'tree stump.' Bringing up Shawn Kemp is just a sarcastic distraction. It’s a complete diversion to bring up a player who never even suited up for UK under entirely different circumstances unrelated to an injury. Kemp was trouble, trying to pawn off Sean Sutton's gold chains and academically ineligible. Tree stumps don't put up 10 points and 8 rebounds in 17 minutes against St. John’s on a bad knee.

If you’re being honest, that is exactly the case here. You're just being dismissive of his talent to fit a personal grudge over his dad’s remarks and the fact that he didn't miraculously heal from an ACL injury that sidelines most athletes for a full year. You're clearly pissed about his NIL money. Just repeating the same 'fan' script used to attack the kid all season.

The thing that bothers me is that the JQ handlers have had basically 0 intention of him playing after the Alabama game, but have no problem collecting the entire $3 million and using UK to rehab and travel around the country with the team.
Yeah….if you have an injury that causes you to
miss this many games your traveling days should be long ago over. I can’t understand a player out a few games but as many as Jquit has missed he shouldn’t be traveling.

He should not be on the bench at all. He was shut down because he was not playing well enough in Pope's offense to advance his draft position. 3 million wasted dollars that could have gone to one of the portal players at Michigan.

No I don’t have kids 🤣🤣🤣🤣

but if I did I’d tell him to suck it up and don’t be load managing lmfao
You don't know what you would say or do if you had kids. Bringing a person into the world is an out of body experience. It changes you. It's like a stage of human evolution. The second you become a father, everything changes and your brain is re-wired to some degree.

JQ's Dad has no one to blame but himself for fans thinking JQ is faking the injury and quitting on the team. The timing of the knee swelling shut down coming right after his Dad was complaining about his Usage on Twitter/X is highly suspicious and will always cause fans to speculate. Had he kept his mouth shut, this speculation might have still happened but it wouldn't have been as loud.

And why in the hell would you care if he "travels" or "sits on the bench"? Some of you have way way too much time on your hands

I can deal with this crap here and there if we are winning. JQ and shadong sharpe were both capable players who could have played and made a difference. We have had pushover for coaches the last several years. Cal was neutered after what happened in W 2015. Pope has nada for success. He’s just a pushover

So he just wants to play in March Madness because his draft stock is slipping because his Dad's mouth revealed his quitter attitude, so now he wants to play with the National Spotlight of the NCAA tournament, to try to raise his stock back up.

Who gives a crap why? If it means less Garrison in March, good. I don't give a crap "why" and you shouldn't either

The cynicism is certainly understandable especially in this day and age. But it is just possible that the two people that want him to play more than anyone on the planet are...JQ and Mark Pope. By ALL accounts both of these guys are outstanding human beings and have done nothing to warrant criticism for this situation. Yeah, the dad may be a bit out there but so what. This was always a gamble. This is not the Sharpe situation.

His dad needs to shut his pie hole. No one knows if the staff used JQ properly or not because he only played 66 minutes. His son was an offensive work in progress and would have only played in front on MM because of name alone. My guess is JQ is way ahead of MM defensively but MM is ahead of JQ offensively and that isn’t saying much. JQ’s best offense is offensive rebound put backs.

Not sure if I would want him back at this point. I am conflicted. We seem to have had team chemistry issues throughout the season regardless of what Pope and the players have said. Their behavior on the court suggests team chemistry issues. Do you want to change the rotation? On the other hand, another player with tons of potential (St. Johns game) and not to mention another 5 fouls.

With Garrison seemingly regressing by the game, I'd rather have JQ just standing there on the court. He'd at least get as many rebounds. I'm exaggerating of course but JQ will demand more attention by just being out there.
