That's the definition of thin skinned. The posters on this board have no idea what kind of day you had. They might have had a worse day than you had and their team lost too. If you have a bad day and come on here with the mentality that you need consolation from other posters that's a problem. You being called out is part of participating on a this or any other discussion board. I really don't post all that often. I come here because this is the most reliable place to get information on and about the team. Other than you, most Mods here don't seem to be thin skinned or argumentative. But you have a bite to your type that reminds me of a small town crooked sheriff and I stay clear. There it is.
Ha! I can see why you don't post much. I'm not thin skinned. I think I've demonstrated that multiple times here. I was just trying to explain why I reacted as I did to what I thought was being called out to eat some crow. That's all. Have a great day man. I'll try to be less thin skinned. You try to be less of whatever motivated this post. We'll both be better for it. 👍

Good grief. The kid was hurt. He was hurt so bad that not even a family member could represent him on Senior Night. They were at his bedside after his emergency life threatening surgery that same day.
Show some compassion, please. having splinters pulled out of your rump is not only painful but embarrassing. Butthurt is the worst kind of pain

And the WORST part about this is that is NEVER used to be!!!!

Cal stated after the 2013 season that he would NOT be "Held hostage" again. Yet that is EXACTLY what this season looked like also. Cal is SOOOOOOO full of it!!!

And he was not held hostage last year was he?

Cal's been protecting weak-minded guys for years.

Gabriel
SKJ

Wheeler is just the most recent installment of Cal's long history of hiding players who want to be hidden.
Here it is , finely pointed out by SOS . Cal does attempt to hide players . He can crow to the media " I can't hide you you here " But look at the last 2 years .. He 100% hid Sharpe and Wheeler .... and thats nots not even bringing up Brandon Boston living in Cal's house !!

I didn't do that, sorry you had such a rough day. On the bright side, you dealt with it well and didn't lose your cool which you easily could have.
When a pastor tells someone to kiss his *** I'd say thats losing your cool ... JMHO . We all have rough days , I sometimes know I shouldn't log oil because I'm in a dark place and I most certainly make some comments I regret . It happens . Just admit you blew you , its perfectly OK to state " I was wrong" and I think thats what Cincy wanted the mod to admit .. but Ill didnt want to really admit it . Still doesnt the fact. Wheeler quit and its so dang ironic we get hung out to dry by a 5'8 point guard . But 1 glaring difference , their dude can stroke it . Ours couldn't . being able to shoot ought to be a requirement to be the starting PG at the U of K .. but our 9 million dollar guy rolled with one that couldn't for 2 seasons .. 2 seasons of pure **** .

According to some on this board, Wheeler is so bad that you should be glad that he stopped playing for whatever the reason.
I was going to say. Most on the board didn’t even want him to play and now it is a problem? Pick a lane.

You guys are just making up your own narratives now. MOST on this board wanted Wheeler to play, but in a diminished role from what he had last season. We had been saying it since November. To which for some reason the giant Wheeler guys would just stick their fingers in their ears and say "lalalala YOU JUST HATE WHEELER!" without really listening to what we were saying.

You might have a select few that didn't want him to play at all. But if you are going to use the word MOST, which you did, you are absolutely wrong. You're just doing the thing that people were doing all year that didn't want to hear it from those of us who knew our ceiling was with Wheeler coming off the bench playing 15 minutes or less per game.

You and countless others just can't really be this dense.

The entire time, it was said that he should NOT be the STARTING point guard at UK. He should be the back-up point guard, getting limited minutes in certain situations and/or as needed to spell Wallace.

This was said once he sh*t the bed against St. Peter's. We knew then what was apparent to most, but others needed time - he is not UK caliber for a starting point guard. Period.

This isn't that f**king hard. I'm so sick of how many complete idiots sit on this message board and bring their nonsense, bullsh*t takes here.

We actually had people not understand this.

He quit because he didn’t want to play in a lesser role. Calipari let him handcuff the team to collect NIL money and not jeopardize portal recruiting. It’s that simple.

Wheeler should have been told to hit the street and walk back to Georgia. At some point you have to get control of your team and teach respect.

I’m sick of this clown act.
A player can quit without saying "I quit." I think this is what happened. You say your ankle hurts, travel with the team to the games, and continue to collect NIL money. At the end of the season, you hit the portal and try at another school. This is the environment that NIL and transfer portal has created. This is the mentality of what we as a society are creating in the young kids...get paid for doing nothing.

If you are the coach, what do you do? Medical team is saying Wheeler is injured. Wheeler is saying he is injured. You put a player on the floor that doesn't want to play? You kick him off the team because you don't believe they are injured despite reports? The coach is in a no-win situation.

This is in no way the same situation as last year's Sharpe situation.

This could be true. Either way, not a fan of Wheeler anymore, if either are true. We, as a fan base need clarification IMO.

I didn't hear it myself, but a couple people posted this last night when he apparently said it in a couple different threads.

That's what he said. I don't know what the OP is talking about. Matt said in January he was told Wheeler was done for the season. Obviously the "injuries" changed, but I don't care what Cal releases to the fans. He's full of ****, and runs an absolute trash PR campaign.
And you are believing MJones........he is a F'king blow hard liberal full of himself POS!

He did not. He says he’s hearing he wasn’t going to play again. He never said why. That’s just a lie.
Yes, that's what I said (in the second post of this thread) - that he heard he wouldn't play again. I didn't lie about that, because I heard him say that on air several times; if MJ lied, I have no idea.

I would take it a step further and say most saw how crazy it was to have him starting at point at the beginning of last year over TyTy. I remember posting in a thread after the Notre Dame loss I think, about how crazy it was that he was starting over the 5 star freshman that was obviously better. Wheeler was fine in the games he wasn't starting and playing 30+ minutes but there weren't many that was the case. I hope now that the Wheeler era is over we can go back to simply playing the best PG we have on the roster but we will see.

And there it is! The good ole “Cal was helpless, fooled, mislead, misinformed, stuck between a rock and a hard place, no win situation, held hostage, blah blah blah”, excuse!

Thanks for the laugh 😂

Exactly. The Cow-Bois want us to believe that CCC was just a victim of circumstance.... merely a coincidence two years in a row. 🤣

Calipari was complicit was my point...maybe not so direct. My point is still the same...what do you do? Even if you know that Wheeler isn't injured, if you kick him from the team, Wheeler and medical staff say he was injured.

The exact same thing happened at Illinois this year with Sky Clark. Kentucky isn't the only place this is happening. Open your eyes....hard to make someone see when they don't want to look.

Giving the benefit of the doubt here, that Wheeler's absence is because of injury, missing senior night is bizarre, you must admit.

I jus refuse at this point to believe these takes are serious. There’s no way.

Read about the Sky Clark situation at Illinois. He basically held them hostage for NIL. Said he couldn't play because of mental health reasons, yet continued to receive NIL. You force him off the team, it's a bad look. You take away his NIL, it's a bad look. After the season, the kid transfers to Louisville where he will do the same thing to Kenny Payne if he doesn't get his way.

I say good riddance...time to move on.
