Said he heard he quit in January mad over playing time.
I don't believe it. Why would Cal want to be liable for a player and pay his traveling expenses if the player has quit the team? Cal has done a lot of stupid things, but I believe this is even beneath him. Also, why would Wheeler want to be around the team if he quit?Said he heard he quit in January mad over playing time.
Same here.No show for SR night tells me this is more than likely the truth.
Did he say that? I heard him say that someone he trusted told him in January that Wheeler would not play again. He's said that several times.
That’s definitely the counterpoint to the rumor. After the Sharpe fiasco, I don’t think a lot of people trust Cal to handle that kind of scenario, and perhaps rightly so. If Wheeler was so upset about playing time that he’d rather just quit, it does seem odd that he’d still want to travel with the team and cheer on the players that he resented taking his spot though.I don't believe it. Unless he wants a waiver for another transfer next season and uses injuries as an excuse. That’s definitely the counterpoint to the rumor. And the WORST part about this is that is NEVER used to be!!!!Cal is soft. His players are soft (ex Oscar and Wallace). And UK is soft.
Some of these so-called-fans are so upset about the loss that their thinking is on the level of Cal's coaching, missing in action. That’s definitely the counterpoint to the rumor. The wheeler saga has been something. If this is true, Cal has lost his mind and truly has no care for the program.
Well he did have a good years worth of practice just last year with SharpeAll jokes aside, if that’s the case then Cal is the biggest puss ever for covering for him.
He was definitely up and cheering his teammates today. That’s definitely the counterpoint to the rumor. IKR, letting Sharpe sit on the bench laughing at his teammates getting pummelled, is different.I don't believe it. Doing what he needs to do to get that NIL money. And whatever future money there is to be made in coming weeks. He was definitely up and cheering his teammates today.
Why was he still on the team then? My goodness, if this is true, speaks volumes to the culture of the program right now.Said he heard he quit in January mad over playing time.

I know you’ve been ALL IN on defending Wheeler against all comers, but it is going to come home to roost eventually. This was never about an injury. Some of these so-called-fans are so upset about the loss that their thinking is on the level of Cal's coaching, missing in action.
Great pointit's hard to imagine Cal misleading the fans especially with how well he handled the whole Shaedon Sharpe ordeal
