So John Delaney, a representative from the Maryland 6th District, has decided to seek the Dem nomination for President in 2020. I heard an interview with him today. He sounds reasonable, willing to compromise, not ideological.
In the interview his bio was discussed. He has blue collar roots, was a successful businessman prior to entering politics, and got good grades on bipartisanship. He didn't go into a ton of details, but his big selling points to me were infrastructure and preparing us for the economic shifts that come with improved technologies.
In short, he sounds reasonable, so I'm sure he's doomed as a candidate. Maybe he's someone to keep an eye on though.
