Joe Ganz is among my all-time favorite Nebraska players. He took such abuse from the self-proclaimed "smart" recruiting experts on the Internet boards at the time he came to Nebraska. Yet, he proved all those experts didn't know a damn thing about his ability. Such a great underdog story rising above all the critics.

IF he was going to be the OC at NI I’m not sure that TE coach at MTSU is much of a promotion. Better place to live I guess. Maybe a small pay raise.

I guarantee you that they have a network connection. Ganz wasn’t hired to coach a position that he’s coached previously. Somewhere they’ve crossed paths and maybe no more than at a bar at the national coach’s convention. They’ve either met or Ganz and Mason have a buddy in common.

Joe was a heck of a QB for NU. It was to bad he didn't get more opportunities before his Senior year.

Mason, by all accounts, is very well respected. This will be a great move for Joe.

Why not? He's the best QB we've had since Crouch and is probably the prototypical QB for a Holgorsen offense. I can only imagine what would be if Ganz were QB on the 2009 Husker team.
