Gingers really are soul eaters.
Let's give it up to KyBass. He nailed this one
I HAVE been stabbed by one! And though I was a dirty dog too, not for what I was stabbed for. Also been hit in the nuts by one. Had a radio thrown at my head by one. Got so mad at one I punched a concrete floor 3 times, breaking my hand. Dunno why I'm still married to her.
Yikes. My man, you are a daredevil

Am I the one here who wishes that Dykes would just shut up sometimes??!! His non-stop blather makes it difficult for me to enjoy the game. He comments on EVERYTHING. He needs to give it a rest!

I think it’s the current state of TV coverage. They just have fill every moment of air time with blather.

A couple years ago I caught a boxing match from the mid 70s that was airing on ESPN Classic. There was a stark contrast to modern day commentating. Very brief descriptions of punch combinations, followed by 15 seconds of silence. The action in the ring spoke for itself. No story telling. No exchanging of banter between the two commentators. Just pure sports analysis. It was awesome. I miss those days.

I actually felt his bias for UK bordered on unprofessional last night for once. As the game got tight its was clear he was looking for a UK stop. He admonished Hagans in an infuriated fan way for not staying in front of his man on an easy layup.

I don't mind him at all. Better than hearing Dicky V kissing pukes butt all the time. I would prefer Jimmy over a lot of the others.

It was his partner who forced me to the mute button tonight. Dude couldn't go a minute without mentioning the Evansville loss in some way, shape or form.
Both of them kept acting like it was more likely than not that we were about to lose our second non-conference game at home in a row. Even when we went up and were in decent control of the game they kept it up.

The next stage of my life will involve finding a sassy ginger. When I was in Scotland last year, I saw one that I would have given a week of my life to have coffee with. Absolutely gorgeous, but taken.
I know I sure am fond of my sassy ginger. IMO, you can't go wrong with one. If given the choice between blonde, brunette or redhead, I'll take a redhead every single time. The whole red on the head bit is true - in my case anyway. It was the case with my past experiences also, although, none of those even compare to this one. I definitely recommend it. Couldn't possibly be any happier. :)

I don’t get what’s not to like...he’s knowledgeable, loves UK, doesn’t spout off about stuff he knows nothing about, seems to genuinely care about the kids, game and coaches. I wonder sometimes if I’m watching the same game as some of y’all.
Can't disagree with any of this. I think this fan base wastes time being mad at a lot of great basketball minds in the media .

Sounds like you’re in a pickle, Rick.

It’s very clear we have a lot of fans that simply can’t handle the truth. Dykes was bad mouthing UK because we lost to Evansville on our home floor and followed that up by winning a nail biter against Utah Valley, again, on our home floor.

No announcer, even if they graduated from UK, is not going to being singing praises for our team with back to back performances such as those. And until we see it that team that completely controlled MSU, they will not sing our praises again.

It’s just like a job, perform below your standard and you get called out. Perform at or above your standard, you get increasing levels of praise.

This seems like a rather simple concept to me

I really like Dykes. Like others have said he’s brutally honest, but he likes UK and is very knowledgeable. Though last night when he said Nick Richard has great hands, I did question just how knowledgeable he really is.
