Am I the only one here who wishes that Dykes would just shut up sometimes??!! His non-stop blather makes it difficult for me to enjoy the game. He comments on EVERYTHING. He needs to give it a rest!

Dykes is a great color guy. Usually supportive of the UK program but also refreshingly honest.

Dykes likes to hear himself talk but hes brings energy and experience to his games.
Like another poster said hes usually pro UK , but you could tell from before the game and into the tip off he was going to be brutally honest on what hes seen so far from UK in the first few games.
Hes seen underachieving and really bad basketball in the film room and he called alot of players out on it.
I was totally fine with it because he was venting on things I was or have vented over. Some people just dont like to hear the truth and that's fine.

Man basketball season sure is fun now. Every year it’s lethargic play and watching the team and hoping they get it by March and threads here complaining about whoever the commentator was.
He was about annoying last night. Seemed like he was expecting/hoping UK to lose.

Amen brother, dated one for a year and felt as if I had been riding the Texas Giant rollercoaster non-stop.
I thought if the team watched the tape today listening to Dykes pointing out their defensive mistakes they would learn a lot. He was very clear and you could see exactly what he was explaining.

That's why he is called a commentator. If you don't like it there is a Mute button on your remote lol.
He spent the majority of the game suggesting that we would lose the game...and he is supposedly a Kentucky guy

I don’t get what’s not to like...he’s knowledgeable, loves UK, doesn’t spout off about stuff he knows nothing about, seems to genuinely care about the kids, game and coaches. I wonder sometimes if I’m watching the same game as some of y’all.
