Works with me at Robert W. Baird.Anybody know whatever became of him ?
Did he marry the cheerleader he dated while at UK? Holly Van something or the other.Works with me at Robert W. Baird.
No, his wife was not a cheerleader. Your talking about Rebeca Bach. who did date him.Did he marry the cheerleader he dated while at UK? Holly Van something or the other.
Yep, remember it like it was yesterday. And I was 17, so we're about the same age. The OT? I don't wanna talk about that.IMHO when I was 16 in 1983 Master hit, what is to this day, the most thrilling shot by a UK player.
It was his 12 footer v. U of L at the buzzer to send the Dream Game into OT.
Although Kentucky would lose in OT it was the shot that I remember most as the most thrilling.
Me too.The blocked lay-up (that shouldj've been a dunk and one) by Dirk is the shot that haunts me from that game
You're probably talking about Holly Bankemper who is married to Cris CollinsworthDid he marry the cheerleader he dated while at UK? Holly Van something or the other.
That's exactly who I'm talking about...didn't she date Master's while at UK?You're probably talking about Holly Bankemper who is married to Cris Collinsworth
If they had the 3 point shot back then Joe B. would have let him shoot more instead of going inside to those great bigs we had!I believe he's living a successful happy life in Lexington.
FWIW, Master may've had the most unfair "unrealistic expectations" by fans when he came in of just about any UK player ever, because of the hype of him supposedly being "the next Kyle Macy." Remember that?
And, in fairness, he did look the role. Like Macy, was an Indiana Mr. Basketball who came in the same year Macy left and even looked like him and had the same shooting form and all. So the BBN labeled him the next Macy. And even though he did have a very good career here, there was still this odd sense that he was a disappointment simply because he was never as good as Macy.

There is no way I could chose between those 2 shots . My head/heart would explode ! lolWhat would have been a bigger shot if UK had gone on to win, Master's jumper to send the U of L game to OT, or Sean Woods' bank shot that would have beaten Duke? Sparks' shot was great, but we probably would have lost to UNC in the Final Four.

Woods' shot. Not doubt. What would have been a bigger shot if UK had gone on to win, Master's jumper to send the U of L game to OT, or Sean Woods' bank shot that would have beaten Duke? Sparks' shot was great, but we probably would have lost to UNC in the Final Four.

My memory is failing and I was living overseas at the time. What would have been a bigger shot if UK had gone on to win, Master's jumper to send the U of L game to OT, or Sean Woods' bank shot that would have beaten Duke?
