People just shut up all the time, on an everyday basis. You just never know about it.
Imo, Harbaugh should have done so in this instance or figured out a more accurate, less insulting way of expressing what he wanted to say. Nothing controversial about pointing that out.
I do find it funny that many of those supporting Harbaugh say the exact opposite when it comes to NFL players, Hollywood actors, basically any public figure saying things they disagree with. Then they're very much in favor of, "Shut up and do your job." Every. Single. Time.
My problem isn't so much with Harbaugh speaking out against abortion as it is the insulting way he did it.
But whatever, Harbaugh's views on anything are of no actual consequence to me.
If Harbaugh had done it in a post game press conference or a pre-kickoff sideline TV interview it would be analogous. He didn't.
I am not a fan of the man but...he has spoken out quite often on many subjects- he has also spoken out and later changed his view when he got more information. I actually appreciate that.
There are a lot of people in this world right now against abortion, and these are very good people, and many are good friends. Heck- a few of them I know, have no idea that their wife has had an abortion in the past and a few wives have no idea their husbands had a baby momma that has had an abortion. But, they are still allowed their thoughts.
And I 100% disagree with his opinion on this...lol

I don't even find it insulting- it is just a bit ignorant but it is the current take from those that do oppose it. Irony is that yes, he has a lot of players from single moms and maybe even very low income, if any... And he wouldn't have these great players if they were aborted. But he also doesn't realize that the same Mom may have have an abortion or two later so that she or they could afford to raise the one they already have.
Thank You Jim Harbaugh and God Bless you for having the strength , belief and feelings of millions upon millions. People hate hearing that quote from Jeremiah since it speaks the actual truth. Everyone ALIVE today is only here because someone made the choice that they live. Ask them if they would prefer the alternative? Some will give a half assed reason why the subject should have remained untouched but even the late Rutgers graduate RBG knew this action was going to take place and could have been corrected 50 years back. This is more important than any sport and game . Soon there will be others who will stand for the unborn. You took the charge and created an actual awareness that people do care.
actually JH was speaking at a pro life event , so it would have been brave to speak in favor of abortion.
But Harbaugh did speak about something he believes in and quoting Jeremiah was a good way to get his point across

Pro or anti abortion it shouldn't have to be considered an act of bravery to speak out on that issue, but you're right that Harbaugh was brave letting his feelings about the subject show, in today's socity sharing your opinion on a conterversal issue can be considered a brave act with the way people express outrage because one doesn't share thir view on an issue and *****, moan and complain about what was an honest opinion and usually look for ways to insult the person who said what they didn't want to hear.

But I will also answer your question- my Mom was pregnant twice before she was able to actually birth her first child. In both the two previous pregnancies, there were complications during pregnancy that could have killed her and or made her unable to become pregnant again...So- if she had decided your way- I would most likely not be here and neither would my 5 brothers she did have later.

Also all Christian domination aren't strongly anti abortion, some feel it's not against the tenets they follow and there is a division among the Jewish religion's ranks.
Some feel abortion is acceptable to them, others strongly oppose it
as for being born I'm happy I went full term and believe my children are as well.
But I'm of the opinion that a woman has the right to chose and there are good reasons to make the choice to abort the fetus before it becomes a living breathing person and am of the opinion that after 10 weeks unless the mother is in jeopardy or the fetus is not expected to survive I would want to see the pregnancy go full term.
But that choice should be the women's and the man involved not mine.
If for some medical reason they feel the fetus inside her will have serious healtrh issues after birth, I wouldn't condemn them for any choice they made
She made the right choice in your opinion and that is one of those instances which only she could choose. The entire point is only she can answer to that higher power and I do believe there is a much higher Devine Power.

I didn’t miss anything . I read and comprehend quite well even at 72. The guy used his platform in a time where he faces harsh criticism. Amazing to witness his commitment to his faith. Too many are lost and it shows everyday . Be happy your birthing parent chose correctly.

Young girls have cooled off to it more then people think due to things like Gosnell.
People think there should be abortion early on but not in the late term (over 80% are against that)
In states like Michigan they keep abortion just like other blue states
In the states that wont have it, there has long been a population leaning against it so players wont be in shock.
Plus, with a lot of athletes its a status symbol to have kids all over the place anyway.

Nearly 3/4 of americans believe abortion should be banned after 15 weeks. Which ironically is what got roe overturned when dobbs seeked to ban abortion after 15 weeks in Miss. and was challenged.
Not really complicated. Put a term limit on it and move on. If you still don't like it, don't do it.

I agree. I think 15 weeks is the hard stop outside of extenuating circumstances where for example mothers life at risk for example.
47/50 euro countries have full abortion bans after 15 weeks or earlier. We still are the most progressive country on earth when it comes to abortion
