I've heard Trump criticized for a lot of things associated with the response but not that but it depends on what you mean by "shutting things down". He made some travel restrictions. Trump was not responsible for shutting states down as they did that themselves.

He was/is hammered for not ordering a national shutdown early on.

Dr. Brix yesterday said they just discovered that the state of Illinois was only using 25% of the test readers that they had available to them......I say that's not on Trump.

Partially true, he is by far the most transparent President ever...but it is not even close to the negative press that he gets on a daily basis. Objective media experts have it 95% negative coverage. I have yet to see one positive article written about Covid-19 and how Trump has performed...they won't even quote liberals who have recognized it.

Cuomo - displayed leadership, stated facts, stayed on message, spoke in clear messages easily understood, fought for the best interests of his constituents. trump - attacked media, lied, pushed an unproven drug, attempted to show how "brilliant" he is, constantly deflected blame, fired a Navy Captain for looking out for the well being of his crew, lied some more, promised PPE and failed, promised millions of tests and failed, lied some more, asked governors to worship him, ran a campaign ad in the middle of a press briefing, lied some more...
