He makes nightly appearances on the libtard shows on pMSNBC and CNN, and cries about the same thing: The Federal Government won't do all of his work for him, and send 30,000 ventilators to NYC to treat fewer than 11,000 patients. Reality is, NY is broke and he needs the Feds to pay for this. I LOL when he was talking about being outbid by FEMA for ventilators. I cried when talked about receiving calls from manufacturers saying they were outbid.

However.....Cuomo COULD have purchased the RECOMMENDED ventilators that were AVAILABLE back in 2015.......he made a bad mistake. Also......NOT a single person has been denied the use of a ventilator. Gov. Cuomo also just said they still have a surplus.

My son pays NYC taxes and lives there. I stay informed. My volunteer Fire Department in PA (62 miles away) received millions in 9/11 money as they assisted with the aftermath. They built a commercial kitchen to hold weddings and parties.

CMS sets the number of hospital beds that are in a given area. If a hospital closes then other hospitals can increase their bed count....It's a zero net gain in most cases. If the population increases, then they will increase the bed count and decease them in others that has lost population in order to balance it out.

This is also true for ICU beds, the trauma level of the ED etc. If the bed count decreased and it was not absorbed by other hospitals it is most likely due to the payor (joke here) mix being really bad. Just this year, the mayor of NYC is basically adopting universal healthcare but have not funded it. This is perfect example of liberal health polices but no money to pay for it...which is why NY wants the Feds to step in a pay for all of this.

Most/if not all of the hospitals you mentioned are non-profit so you can forget about blaming the big bad corps. for stuff like this.
