No that is the beauty of the early look we got 2 weeks ago . They no longer can do that ( and haven't since they have been releasing the early look) . Now that doesn't mean when we deserve the 2nd seed they end up giving us the 1st 3 seed. But its not like if we win out they can do much but give us a top 10 seed. The committee hasn't screwed UK in terms of seed in 4-5 years . Which isn't a surprise they started giving those early looks 3-4 years ago. Everyone we are around in the 2-3 seed area ( like Penn St , like UL ) has bad losses like thatI’m telling you guys committee with put a royal screw job on UK this year due to Evansville and Utah losses. The computer’s do not like UK (whether it is justifiable or not). I have never thought UK got bad treatment like some do in the past. This board will explode after selection Sunday this year. It is coming. If they lose couple a more, 6 or 7 seed will not be out of the question.

Some people still have UK a 6. I think it is too low. UK keeps winning and should get up to a 3 at least.
Exactly..not that these projections are the be all end all, but my god, at least try not to look like an idiot and do a realistic projectionWith some of these guys, we could win out and still be a FIVE seed in their minds. We just need to correct our own problems and be playing better by the SEC tournament.
Spot on per usual. Hoping for FF but expecting s16Palm is a Purdue fan/Big 10 guy. I'd speculate if UK finishes strong with the 6 remaining games, they'll move up to where some of you want. I honestly don't care about Mock Brackets and in this year, this will be a scary 1st Round game for whomever this year's team plays. Just glad they have no chance of being a 1 because if UK/Cal team was to ever lose in opening round, it would be this year's team against a 16 with their approach to games. Giving away halves of basketball is begging to get beat. To this point, this year's team has shown they are a Sweet 16 caliber without bracket opening up, and peak game will be 2nd round if they can get by the 1st. Hope they grow and improve, but at not point has this team shown they can be trusted to build off a victory. Got their chance to show it here on out, but going to need the guys outside of Richards/Maxey/Quickley to do something consistently to help out.
You could say the exact same thing about 20 of the top 25 teams this year.Palm is a Purdue fan/Big 10 guy. Just be 22-5 by the end of this week, and the CATS will be firmly on the 3-seed line. But I think we're in for an absolute war tomorrow night, and it may not end well. Would love to see a statement W.
Utah is 84 in the NET. Don’t lump that loss in with Evansville. They are completely different time zones in reference to a loss.I’m telling you guys committee with put a royal screw job on UK this year due to Evansville and Utah losses. and Ohio St is back in the AP top 25 and South Carolina is 4th in the SEC.Utah is 84 in the NET. Don’t lump that loss in with Evansville. They are completely different time zones in reference to a loss.
I'm going to try this with you one more time as you seem to struggle with it most. The game of basketball is predicated on 2 concepts; putting the ball in the hole and stopping the other team from putting the ball in the hole. We currently rank 32nd and 51st in the country in those 2 areas. In all these computer ranking like the NET, those 2 numbers impact it more than anything else. Instead of beating your head against the wall in every post, just understand that is why the NET and all these other rankings don't line up with the AP. Its that simple.and Ohio St is back in the AP top 25 and South Carolina is 4th in the SEC.
So we officially have 1 horrible L all season and that was on Nov. 12 v. Evansville but the NET is hating on us for some reason.
Actually basketball is predicated on winning the games. If the computers say a nine loss Michigan State team is better than a UK team that beat them and has a 20-5 record, then the computer rankings are pure folly.I'm going to try this with you one more time as you seem to struggle with it most. Of course they have the percentages like that........they know ahead of time how the refs will screw UK at LSU.........UK has to be far and away superior to the opposing team to win on the road in the SEC.........UK has a talented squad...........I don't know that they are a superior talented over LSU.........I haven't seen them play yet.......I am still on my anti NCAA protest and not watching anything that doesn't have UK on the floor or field........:boxing:Well it is at LSU, which is a benefit for them plus being raped there has happened a lot by the refs. ESPN has LSU % of winning 65% to UK 35%.
I’d argue it’s based on one thing....score. And the system that uses that one metric alone (Sagarin) has us at #8 in the country and their top 10 matches the eyes test much better.I'm going to try this with you one more time as you seem to struggle with it most. Kansas is prob the best team and they will prob beat Baylor 2 out of 3. Other than Kansas I would def take any of the other one's in a sweet 16 matchup. Duke will be tough, but just because of refs and location (they are a lock in the East) so I would rather not go East or Midwest.if sdsu, gonzaga, dayton and baylor are the 1 seeds a 4 or 5 seed isn’t going to bother me much this year. we’re straight up better than gonzaga and sdsu imo. and we would have the fan support over baylor or dayton wherever the location. including dayton even though that probably won’t happen. usually the difference between a 3 and 4 is big but i don’t think it is this year. you play a 5 and a 1 or a 2 and a 7. this year the 2 and 7 could be duke and msu, or ku and lsu. the 1 is probably a mid major and the 5 is going to be in the auburn, oregon, butler range.
Yeah, I mean the computers don't factor in EJ being out and Hagans playing on one leg. Look we shouldn't have lost, but you would think humans on the committee would see that was a fluke and somewhat explainable especially if this team only loses one more game the rest of the season. I will bet any amount of money Palm has no idea or doesn't care that UK had injuries in the Evansville game.I’d argue it’s based on one thing....score. And the system that uses that one metric alone (Sagarin) has us at #8 in the country and their top 10 matches the eyes test much better.
Sure, the concept of O and D efficiency being what determines games is logical. However, what variables are given weighted value to determine/make up “efficiency”?...when points is all that matters.
Bc logically 32nd/51st combo shouldn’t only have 5 L’s w wins over multiple top 15 teams. Especially when 1 L was w injuries and another was crossing multiple time zones and an 11pm tip Eastern time while the team that didn’t have to travel mid week played in their time zone.
Common sense and the eye test has us as #10 in the country. The AP doesn't love us so that's good enough for me. Screw metrics this year the NET has ARZ as a Top 10 team. His updated bracket has us as 5!! LOLOL..cant stand that guy...doesn't make sense whatsoever. Wish I had Twitter to call him out
