Kentucky one of 6 teams being considered for #1 seed.
Damned well better be.Kentucky one of 6 teams being considered for #1 seed.
Whoever says anything optimistic or positive about U.K. Is brilliant.
But they've already said they're not counting anything that happened while K was out. So you're left with a 5 loss team that has around 13 top 50 wins. Right or wrong, I don't really care - I care about how it might impact UK. And since I'd rather play Duke than UNC, assuming we get the 2 either way, I'm good....If a 14th ranked, 5th in the conference, 8 loss team gets the 1 seed, then there should be a boycott. Or an investigation.
If Duke gets a 1 seed we'll have confirmation of bias. You cannot finish the regular season (the body of work) 5th in your conference and be a 1 seed. I don't care if you win your conference tourney by an average of 30 points.
Lunardi said the same just now and added if that thier name wasn't Duke we wouldn't be having this conversation.
It's ridiculous.
Seriously?Well, the way that Arkansas is man-handling Vandy, I'm glad we'll be considered before the final game tomorrow.
Likely only two realistically up for grabs...UNC and Oregon. I would think that Villanova's and Gonzaga's seeds are ones and secure. I think we have overtaken UNC for a one seed just because of the two losses--one an egregious loss to UVA--and our not losing for a while. We have to merit serious consideration since the whole world now ought to recognize that Cal has been right all along, that the SEC is tougher than previously thought. We have some warts, and I don't think Cal was very pleased today even though we won, but who else deserves a one over us for the last two available spots? My heart and the data says Kentucky has played itself onto the one line; my gut and my head says we'll get screwed...it's happened before and it'll likely happen again. There exists a bias against the SEC in basketball--it's a football conference, and in basketball, if you are not named Kentucky, you're not really very good. I think we've been witness to the contrary, even though media--especially that of the east coast--wouldn't admit it. This is getting very interesting...Kentucky one of 6 teams being considered for #1 seed.
that's a real possibility IMOI really hope the 1 seeds are:
East - Nova
South - Gonzaga
Midwest - Kansas
West - Oregon
With UK in the south or west as the 2
He ain't needing to guess as it is common sense . It is KU , Oregon,UK , Nova, Gonzaga and UNC . Anyone else is on the 2 line or worse. I think if Oregon wins tonight it is theirs . WHich is fine as a 1 seed and a 2 seed are basically the same thing . Hell it could be better as you end up playing a 10 seed possibly and not an 8/9 if things fall right. He knows nothing. I'd feel better if he said the opposite.
Uh Gonzaga as the 1 in the west is a stone cold lock. If Oregon gets the 1 seed it will be in the Midwest with Ku in the south and Nova in the east.I really hope the 1 seeds are:
East - Nova
South - Gonzaga
Midwest - Kansas
West - Oregon

Palm is an *** but again with this it is just common sense. UK has one of the elite resumes . Only KU , nova and gonzaga have truly better ones .This the same Palm who had us as a 4 seed a week ago?
they wouldn't do that to duke or unc. no way they play each other. no way they are in the hardest regions either. If we get a 1 I'm sure we get Duke as a 2 or UNC and UL as a 3.
If we get a 1 I'm sure we get Duke as a 2 or UNC and UL as a 3.
This has to be the six, if this is really insider information, meaning Duke and Arizona are not in consideration. I think only Nova and KU are locks. If Arizone beats Oregon tonight, it's UNC, Gonzaga, and us for the final two spots. What's his wife Rosie think?
