That's right! Larry's sister was my gym teacher there my sophomore and senior years. Mrs. Meyers!! Best teacher ever!!
Baker the TD maker!! And I do too. Kid was one of the best I've ever seen play in High School.

Thanks for educating our ignorant fan base. I live in Florida and I knew about the Ashland Tomcats, a high school that produced Larry Conley and a host of greats over the years.
Well, I grew up in western Kentucky, 20 years after Larry Conley, so naturally I would know all about Ashland.
Who is your cousin? Cant remember who the leading rusher is now. Figured it was maybe Beach or Nichols. I went to Blazer too, so I'm just curious.
I mean it's a hell of a coincidence you have to admit. And I hardly think people are "ignorant" for not having an encyclopedic knowledge of Kentucky high school mascots.

The ignorance came from comments he had 50 posts as if that was suppose to diminish what he had to say. We see this much too often on our board.
Also most college basketball fans knows what an Arizona Wildcat mascot looks like. His avatar is not close to it.
But let's put that aside as we have a game tonight and we need to unite and pull for the Kentucky Wildcats.
Baker is averaging 9.0 ppg 2.0 rpg 3.3 apg 1.3 steals and shooting 53.3% from three on a good Arizona team. To those acting like he's some scrub that's far inferior to our current guards you simply don't understand college basketball.
I believe they should be practicing at Rupp more. I think that would help young players and we have a team full of young players every year.
I've said this for years! Being familiar with your home court wouldn't be anything but beneficial. Never understood why our guys don't practice there, at least some.

fellow Tomcat who loved Mrs Meyers. Haven’t thought about her in years. I graduated in 1995 can’t remember if I ever had her for PE but she was always around.

Do you think that is a good thing or bad thing? I've heard it said that some players are elite at the college level. They make their teams a force to be reckoned with.
If you don't think Baker would have contributed to this team then the game of basketball isn't for you. Sports in general are probably a topic that is over your head. Reading this board all of these years this actually probably fits about 85% of you.

Think he could have contributed, but not sure he would have been given much of a chance. Most likely why he left with Cal’s blessing.

He's averaging 8.2 ppg on 47% from three shooting. How's Juzang doing? You can't just take a box score from one off game and try to make a point unless you're a complete idiot as all players have them. He's Arizona's 4th leading scorer. Let's see who has the better season between the two, I hope it's Juzang but I don't think so.
why are you attacking Juzang? He wouldn't be fighting play time over Juzang anyways...

I'm not attacking Juzang lol, everyone was saying Juzang was gonna be this big upgrade over Baker because he was ranked a little higher, it hasn't happened and I don't think it will.
He's now 11/20 from three point range on the season.
That's 55% from three so far this season.
Can we give players more than 6 games before we give them the scarlet letter? Perhaps the entire season or (gasp) even more than that?
There have been lots of guys at UK that started their careers off slowly and ended up being key cogs in amazing seasons.
