You're the one who brought up the history points. We didn't.I like how it’s pivoted from Memphis is nothing without Cal...to well, you’re not Kentucky...talk about moving the goalposts

Grace, agree that Memphis under Cal was the golden years & no one does it like Cal. He was a master marketer of the school & the basketball program, as well as a great recruiter. He has been impossible for us to replace. You have to admit, however, that he has underachieved with the talent that he has had. That being said, your time is coming in the next few years when Cal will retire, getting tired of dealing with your obnoxious & holier than thou fanbase. In the meantime, he may have to change some of his recruiting tactics with the current FBI investigations that are ongoing. I understand your tradition as a great basketball program & y’all will get a good coach, but no one will be able to follow him or want to follow him. Enjoy him while he’s there. Most fans around the country will enjoy the melt down from your fans when he leaves. Penny has 0 wins, so time will tell, but I wouldn’t sell him short, based on his successful start in recruiting. One thing we both will agree on is thank goodness Tubby is not coaching either of our programs.
Your psychobabble lost its charm the minute you implied Cal has to cheat to get recruits.
Name one instance since he's been at UK where even a hint of impropriety took place.
Memphis, like many schools, has had a decent team here & there. But Memphis under Calipari was the golden years & it was 100% because of him & no one else. And unless another Calipari comes along it will never occur again there. And it certainly will not be under Penny.
FifySo explain the NCAA Finals run with Gene Bartow...Explain the Final Four run with Keith Lee...Explain Larry Finch and Penny Hardaway leading Memphis to Elite Eight and Sweet 16....Memphis basketball is not much more than John Calipari
JW will be a top 3 pick "wherever" he goes and then make his biggest jump in improving once he enters an NBA team's system like most do. Stop with the foolishness. He won't be the same regardless. Some kids want to improve, some dont. Im sure Mr. Wiseman is the best high school player. And he will be the same best high school player after his freshman year at Memphis. His choice.
I can see how a Memphis fan would think that.JW will be a top 3 pick "wherever" he goes and then make his biggest jump in improving once he enters an NBA team's system like most do. Stop with the foolishness. He won't be the same regardless.

Thank you for perfectly illustrating my point about your fans. As Bill Self said, Adidas is only doing for us what Nike is doing for Duke & Kentucky. I’m sure that Coach K & Cal have no idea that any of this is going on LOL. Are you THAT naive or not very smart? The next two corruption trials will be interesting. We will see what happens. Cal will come out unscathed because he always does. He keeps rolling on while the schools take the punishment. Ask UMass & Memphis. No, I can’t give you an example of impropriety but don’t insinuate my intelligence by acting like he is Mr. Clean. I can assure you that if anything does come out, Cal will be on his way to the broadcast booth.
Haha I probably deserve that so touché.Nobody has to insinuate your intelligence. You're doing that all on your own.
Haha I probably deserve that so touché.
wow build a statue for that.I don't want another Calipari or Dana Kirk to take us to the FF but leave Memphis on probation...I would be OK with Penny being the next Larry Finch...famed Memphis player returns home to coach the Tigers to an Elite Eight and Sweet 16 with home grown talent.
yep, I'll take that.

I have actually been over Wiseman for awhile now. Especially after he got outplayed a couple times against other guys we are going for. Really hoping for Carey and Hurt. If Wiseman comes, he comes, I don't think he is really the top player. He's good, but I think others could help us more. Not sweating Memphis, if he wants to play in the NIT that's his call.Say what you wish think what you want my writing skills has nothing to do with the fact than any UK fan that doesn't see the Wiseman to UK has cooled since penny went to Memphis is not being realistic
wow build a statue for that.
Stupid analogy. JW is a 7 footer with untapped potential. Malik Newman was a guard with a questionable outside shot. Nice try but not the same.Tell that to Malik Newman. From lottery pick projection to transfer and 4 year player. He chose the wrong school.
Well here's our resident adolescent johnny on the spot. Why don't you and a few others stop pretending to actually giving anything tangible to the university other than lip service on a message board? I actually attended UK son.Why do you keep pretending to be a UK fan?
Jeffries to Memphis not good for UK it was once a rumor they wanted to play together this commitment along with cal reaching out to other bigs probably means Wiseman to Memphis any day now because his realatonship to penny is more important than playing at UK he can get to the nba just as well at memphis because of his talent so why not play with a friend and help the coach that has been the most loyal to you
A little butt hurt are we?Thank you for perfectly illustrating my point about your fans. As Bill Self said, Adidas is only doing for us what Nike is doing for Duke & Kentucky. you guys set the bar very high.we named the practice facility after him...

Hey bro what's up, its 2018 now lol. What has memphis done in the last 20 years without Calipari? Take a seat! Clown! So explain the NCAA Finals run with Gene Bartow...Explain the Final Four run with Keith Lee...Explain Larry Finch and Penny Hardaway leading Memphis to Elite Eight and Sweet 16....Memphis basketball is much more than John Calipari
This post right here is the reason why JW should pick the cats! Go to Memphis where fan expectations are to make it to the sweet 16? Or .... well you know the rest! #bbn #championshipsI don't want another Calipari or Dana Kirk to take us to the FF but leave Memphis on probation...I would be OK with Penny being the next Larry Finch...famed Memphis player returns home to coach the Tigers to an Elite Eight and Sweet 16 with home grown talent.

Yeah, UK will fall into oblivion just like Memphis did when Cal left............You F'ing fool........you show your ignorance to say that UK will get a good coach.......uh, four coaches have titles at UK..........Let me explain this to you since you seemingly don't have enough brains to figure this out......UK has a great program...........it will continue to be great..........now.....Shoo fly, SHOO!Grace, agree that Memphis under Cal was the golden years & no one does it like Cal. He was a master marketer of the school & the basketball program, as well as a great recruiter. He has been impossible for us to replace. You have to admit, however, that he has underachieved with the talent that he has had. Or he will be practicing against future pro players at UK next fall..........Some kids want to improve, some dont. Im sure Mr. Wiseman is the best high school player. And he will be the same best high school player after his freshman year at Memphis. His choice.
So explain the NCAA Finals run with Gene Bartow...Explain the Final Four run with Keith Lee...Explain Larry Finch and Penny Hardaway leading Memphis to Elite Eight and Sweet 16....Memphis basketball is much more than John Calipari
.......so if you didn't attend UK you are not as big a fan.......Son, I think you are wrong.......How would you know of contributions to UK from people on this board? Do you have anxiety issues? Are you maybe insecure........maybe confession by accusation........Well here's our resident adolescent johnny on the spot. Why don't you and a few others stop pretending to actually giving anything tangible to the university other than lip service on a message board? I actually attended UK son.
Actually it's five coaches (Rupp-4, Hall-1, Pitino-1, Smith-1, Calipari-1)........uh, four coaches have titles at UK..........L
Well. Very insightful. Some kids want to improve, some dont. Im sure Mr. Wiseman is the best high school player. And he will be the same best high school player after his freshman year at Memphis. His choice.
Memphis is awesome. How many final fours since Cal left? Oh and how many titles does Memphis have? Must be a blue blood. And you did have Dana Kirk as a coach.I don't want another Calipari or Dana Kirk to take us to the FF but leave Memphis on probation...I would be OK with Penny being the next Larry Finch...famed Memphis player returns home to coach the Tigers to an Elite Eight and Sweet 16 with home grown talent.
yep, I'll take that.
This is exactly why I laugh at dudes picking Memphis over UK.
Why do y’all hate Cal? He left for his dream.
Proof or didn’t happen! Memphis fan!Well here's our resident adolescent johnny on the spot. Why don't you and a few others stop pretending to actually giving anything tangible to the university other than lip service on a message board? I actually attended UK son.
Cal didn’t cause the probation Rose did!I was never mad that he left Memphis...I mean, Cal gave Memphis 9 years. I was mad that he left us on NCAA probation and took a committed recruit. I feel like that's reasonable.
Cousins made it quite clear he didn’t commit to Memphis he committed to cal. Most guys are choosing the coach and the school is a bonus. There is nothing positive about Memphis except cal was there. We stole Dotson also, but I don’t see you complaining about him also. Furthermore it doesn’t always work that way. When we got bcg we were hoping to get deandre Jordan that didn’t happen obviouslyI was never mad that he left Memphis...I mean, Cal gave Memphis 9 years. I was mad that he left us on NCAA probation and took a committed recruit. I feel like that's reasonable.
