Losing to a 3-6 Eastern Michigan at home is a bad loss. Losing to Ohio State on the road after they had a bye week and on the road after a 4 hour delay against Michigan State are not bad losses.

Sorry with all the talent you have... they are really bad losses from possible National Championship to no Rose Bowl... time to look in the mirror of a really bad coach.

An awful lot of talent to have two really bad losses. Perhaps fraud is a strong word but clearly disappointing.

Did Michigan State also not have a delay? I don’t see how they gained an advantage there. But the excuse is comical so thanks for the entertainment.

I hate to be the voice of reason because I really HATE PSU, but, Franklin's had 3 full recruiting classes, he does not yet have talented and veteran depth throughout his depth chart......that takes longer to develop.

AND....they were not horrible losses. OSU has way more talent and MSU is no slouch this year.

We all HATE PSU and Franklin by extension...to say he is fraud is really stupid.

The loss to Eastern Michigan was a setback. A bad loss for sure. But it did not render our season meaningless. This season for us was about showing whether Ash could get this program moving in a positive direction. Every game, win or lose, was about that. For Penn State, this was a bad loss because it has rendered your entire season completely meaningless. This was the year you were going to win a national championship. They choked big time. When Saquon leaves, PSU will become a perennial also-ran, like Michigan. This was the year where everything felt right for PSU but Franklin was smaller than the task.

In the PSU-MSU pre-game today on BTN, Gerry DiNardo was talking about how Franklin seemed to have done a lousy job in not having his team turn the page quickly enough after last week's "heartbreaking" (LOL!!!!) loss to tOSU and how he was in real danger of letting last week turn into two losses for PSU. Very prophetic by him, and very poor job by PenisHead.

He needs more than the leading Heisman candidate to win? How much were they up by in the 4th Q last week? Horrible losses and a fraud.

The fundamental difference between Paterno and Franklin is ideology. Paterno's defenses were going to stop your offense first and foremost and then grind out a victory running the ball with the occasional pass. If the score was 3-0 or 27-10 was irrelevant to Paterno. Franklin clearly puts more emphasis on his offense and his uptempo spread offense requires tremendous depth. Listen he had three hurdles this year. He cleared the first one, had a hiccup in the second hurdle and clearly stumbled in his third. I think right now Rutgers has a legit shot next week. JMHO

You obvious can't think clearly...Yes, they have Barkley, so they should win every game...great insight !!

I guess the fact that the OSU Defensive line was living in the backfield during the 3rd and 4th quarter does not matter..

Here is the insight. PSU can’t blame losses on talent. I guess the fact that Iowa figured it out should tell you it’s coaching.

RU31trap is a loser who cheers for that disgusting school. But be careful, if you call him out for what he really is, he will personally attack you. He made a comment to me last night that should’ve resulted in him being banned. Wish the scumbag would leave the board and stick to cheering for his actual team.

After the game he ran down a player and directed him back on the field to join the team in congratulating Michigan State players. Was also very gracious in defeat. Please make a believer on how he's an *******? I know very little about him.
Props to Franklin .
I might not like Penn St and knock everything PSU deserves to be called out for , but this Nit HC shown some class after losing to MSU and deserves to be respected for what he did after his team lost a game that they absolutely needed to win .

Yeah, that 4 hour delay was so unfair to PSU, as MSU got to play through it but PSU had to wait. LOL!!!!!!!
It definitely an advantage to the home team. You don't think having all your facilities at your own disposal is not a huge advantage over sitting in a tiny visitors locker room?

Accept the loss without complaint and move on.
Excuses can be found for any and all efforts that fail.
Penn St lost, live with it and try not to imply that loss was because of unfairness
or the other team had an advantage because of playing at home.

What next: "the crowd rooted for MSU and that hurt the Nit player's feelings
causing them not to play their best " :p

Ohio State has lost two games. Does that mean Urban Meyer is a really bad coach? In reality Penn State average recruiting ranking for the past 5 classes is 23 compared to say Ohio State who is 3.8. While the past two weeks have been disappointing this team has been overachieving.

Nut: listen to Trap. What separates PSU from going undefeated is depth. When LT Ryan Bates and DE Ryan Buchholz got hurt who stepped in? A DE 6' 3" 223lbs freshman for Buchholz and I'm not sure if Nelson stepped after being out since last March. I understand there's a good chance Franklin could persuade McSorley to stay another year and little birdie tells me he is working on Barkley.

These weren't bad losses, but the fact Franklin has yet to coach the team to a win on the road against a ranked team should be somewhat concerning.

McSorely not so great you let him hoist the ball 50 times yet your best player gets 14 touches running the ball. SB needs to touch the ball 25 times a games. He may get stuffed at the line 10 times against a great run defense but with his ability he may break 5 runs. 14 touches not nearly enough for you best plsyer=LOSS

Shocking to see you defending PSU
Something you should know about me moving forward.

I march to the beat of my own drum. I don't subscribe to the one for all and all for one ideology, instead I'm an individual and an independent thinker. Yes, I will congratulate, hug and champion you when you do or say something good. However, the moment an individual or group unjustly attacks others for no good reason I'm calling out that person and harshly. Do we understand each other?

You thinking that PSU is unjustly attacked means we understand your delusion perfectly.

MSU also lost all the crowd. So their home field advantage was gone since barely anybody came back into the stands.

Maybe PSU shouldn’t have eaten friggin pizza in between.

Some what! He’s 0-10. Last year was the first time in his career he beat a team that finished the season ranked. And he still went 2-3 in those games.

When you think of good coaches you think of upsets, road wins, winning through adversary. Franklin hasn’t done any of that. He’s won from piss poor OOC schedules.
