IQ is not considered OAD, his recruitment shows the change in Cal's strategy. I believe he is getting talent that he knows will remain at least 2 years. Baker, Here, and IQ seem to show that. Cal was lucky with SGA, he saw the potential but didn't see his rise to be so meteoric rise.
Hagans is considered an OAD. With Cal in talks with both Maxey and Leque it will be interesting to see what happens.
I truly believe that Cal is recruiting for best and worst case scenarios for 2019 and 2020, his last two years to get Ring with his son.
As it stands for 2019
Green/IQ/Hagans*
Baker/Herro
KJ/JV**
EJ/PJ**
Nick/WG**
*Committed
**In draft no agent
Still pursuing Maxey/Leque/Wiseman/Carey
Who all have been linked with both classes.
Ideally all in draft return and all four commit to UK...more likely both Maxey n Leque reclassify to join for 2019.
So possible Roster if happens
Green/Hagan's/Leque
Baker/IQ/Maxey
KJ/Herro--------{Backcourt can be any combination}
JV/PJ/EJ/WG/NR--------{frontcourt}
All 13 scholarship's used and a formidable squad. Definately a roster could be long and tall, shooters from every spot, defensive stoppers, fast and loose. Have some alpha dogs and gritty toughness that was lacking for last year w exception of PJ, late season Hami. Positionless and a 4 guard lineup with PJ for smallball or WG shooting or EJ or NR.
Alot of possiblities of lineups, feel more confident when May 30 passes...Go Big Blue!!!
