the 6-foot-10, 230-pound big man from Montverde (FL) Academy, lists Villanova, Michigan, Miami, Auburn, Alabama, Kentucky, UCLA, Penn State and Memphis as his top nine schools.

I’m fine with Miami.
Miami recently hired DJ Irving, an alum of Duren’s former school, Philadelphia Roman Catholic, who also worked with Team Final, as an assistant coach. Former Miami standouts Ja’Quan Newton, Davon Reed and Lonnie Walker IV all played for Team Final, Duren’s current AAU program which is the favorite to win Peach Jam next month.

I can’t imagine that does us any favors already having Tshiebwe and Collins.
It doesn’t do us any favors because he’s not coming here.

If he came here it doesn’t matter who we have, Duren is better than everyone on our team. He’s got a man’s body and would be a top 5 pick if he could go straight to the NBA.

Well since Kyle is without a doubt the most plugged in UK media guy, I think I’ll take his word on this one.
That was true up until this point, but people here said that with Justus gone, Kyle has lost his main source of information.

The KSR recruiting guys think it’s Miami if there’s a reclass.

But nobody really knows yet, maybe not even Duren himself

I have a hard time getting excited over what is essentially a high school senior playing against junior and senior top drawer players in college. You are probably looking at at least a year and maybe 2 - 3 years before this child matures fully.

I didn’t say anyone knew for sure. I said Kyle has the best sources. He still does (better than KSR) and he said it is a real possibility. Kyle knows what he is talking about

Not optimistic or pessimistic about it either way. Guess it’s theoretically a possibility. I won’t get excited about it until he’s actually wearing a Uk jersey on the court come November. The way things are these days, even if he announces he’s UK bound, things could easily change before the season ever starts.

I feel ya! With Miami hiring someone he is close to it seems like a pipe dream. So I don't believe we should get excited. Still I like the aggressive nature of the new staff! Take a chance at a long shot see if we can pull off a miracle and worse case scenario we can take him off the board if we don't like what we hear after we feel him out!

Would be an incredible get. A one-two combo of Duren and Tshiebwe at the 5 would be hard to handle.

Collins, Brooks, and Toppin would fight it out for minutes at the 4.

A guard rotation of Wheeler, Washington, Fredrick, Grady, and Allen at the 1-3.

That is 10 deep.

Might have to consider redshirting somehow like Hopkins or Ware, because they wouldn’t see any clock.

Don’t say the P word to Cal, but a 5 in, 5 out rotation might be appropriate here, if this happens.

G Wheeler/Washington
G Grady/Fredrick
F Allen/Toppin
F Collins/Brooks
F Duren/Tshiebwe
