Great news, we need Mintz to come back now.
Didn't realize this was even a ? considering the plan he was on-he was actually going to just sit/RS and not make up some story to play like 99% of the transfers were doing. I have a 5th cousin who lives in Hawaii and has a bunion, so need to move from Rhode Island to Kentucky to be closer to them.
Expect a big season from him and he's got the most upside of the tweener forwards that clogged the roster.
I don’t think people counted him as officially coming back because we expect an announcement from each player instead of a guy coming back with no statement at all lol .Didn't realize this was even a ? considering the plan he was on-he was actually going to just sit/RS and not make up some story to play like 99% of the transfers were doing. It's crazy that we're there, but it's completely understandable for us to think way, considering.I don’t think people counted him as officially coming back because we expect an announcement from each player instead of a guy coming back with no statement at all lol .
Yeah, but we have seen worse players leave after 2 years of college. Briscoe and EJ immediately come to mind.Didn't realize this was even a ? considering the plan he was on-he was actually going to just sit/RS and not make up some story to play like 99% of the transfers were doing. You actually found a reason to ***** about this? Who cares man, he chose to come back Instead of leave.Genuinely curious- why is an announcement necessary? It’s just frustrating. There are 348 other teams that don’t have to wait in anxious anticipation for “announcements” from literally every single player to see if they’ll be returning. Especially players like Toppin.
It’s great that he’s back. Truly but the fact that we now get excited for a player lioe
Toppin to return shows how broken Calipari’s model is. We will still be losing majority of our team and scoring.
I will say I believe we’re going to go a bit above 500 next year so that’s good?
Always a special moment when our non-nba players grace us with returning for another season.
The nba has realized they went to far with the "social justice warrior" position as they are pulling back a bit on this.could have transferred to Gonzaga due to fans reaction to kneeling!
I believe he would have been drafted. Not first round, but drafted yes. I’m glad he made the smart decision.
Agree 100%Outside of IJ he’s our next best pro prospect IMO I honestly thought he was gonna test the nba and get feedback and then make a decision. Much happier he took this route. We’ve been burned too many times in the past like that.
Everyone is a question here.Didn't realize this was even a ? considering the plan he was on-he was actually going to just sit/RS and not make up some story to play like 99% of the transfers were doing. Because at Kentucky it’s a miracle if a player decides to come back and not transfer or enter the NBA.Didn't realize this was even a ? considering the plan he was on-he was actually going to just sit/RS and not make up some story to play like 99% of the transfers were doing. If Askew is our starting point guard it will be another bad season.Good to hear. It looks like we at least have some good pieces returning so far.
Devin Askew
Dontaie Allen
Jacob Toppin
Lance Ware
Oscar Tsiebwe
That could be a starting if needed. Now, I'd love to see Mintz and Brooks come back. Not holding my breath on Jackson, but it would be awesome if he'd take his name out of the draft and come back to become a lottery pick next season.
Well, maybe so, but he can improve. And he could also be a backup. We started this last season with him playing point with zero experience, so this is clearly better. If Askew is our starting point guard it will be another bad season.
