Do we consider moving him back? I know that’s borderline blasphemy, but your leadoff batter not getting on base at all is not good.

Who knows, maybe that would wake him up. That’d be one hell of a call tho.

I agree. Might light a fire under his ***. Although I think he already has an *** under fire. Might make the flame blue though.

Maybe the coaches should tell him to take until he gets a strike or two. Sounds crazy, but he is a great 2 strike hitter and teams know he chases pitches so not many of them throw him strikes....so worst case scenario you draw some walks, work pitch counts, or he is still standing up there 0-2. Just a thought....I'm sure Lemonis is looking for some**

He has absolutely not been a great 2 strike hitter lately. He needs to swing at strikes.

I’m thinking about breaking out the shirt a week early to get him out of this slump, I think 7 wins gets us a title and I think that’s all my shirt has in it.

I've been telling folks for 2 weeks they should move him to the 2 hole and try it for at least 2 games. Damn sure need to try something!

Why is that not a legitimate consideration? Jake is above reproach?

I didn’t say whether we should move him or not, but he is in a massive slump and our 1 hole guy hitting less than .100. The past however long is not sound strategy.

Is there anyone who can reach him before the game tonight? If he is in a slump, they showed proof positive on Bull Durham how to break the slump, when Susan Sarandon gave Kevin Costner a pair of Women's underwear to wear. It broke Costner's slump and would probably break Jake's slump.


Lemonis should ask one of the ball girls to give him something girly/sexy to wear to break the slump. As far as I know, it works every time.
