We play golf together some and U talk about someone that gets it. He does. Always nice to people coming up to him. Loves UK. Good golfer. Great at telling stories. Has a great one about guarding Bird!

Wow, you are fortunate. I saw him and James Lee at a football game their junior year. As I walked by them about 20 feet away, I raised my hand and nodded to them. They did the same back at me. They were very respectful of the fans.

Have met and talked to him at SEC Tourneys and UK Football games he always friendly and loves the fans. Great guy to met.

You can Google the 2078 National Championship game against Duke and watch the Goose play an unbelievable game.

Used to see him in the old Computer Lab during the 1977-78 season. A few times he was using a work station next to mine and he was very friendly and outgoing.

Saw him on TV once. I was standing right there in my den. Seemed like a solid dude. Nice smile.

I’ve been friends with Jack since we were high school classmates. I went to UK largely so I could watch him play. Was there for both the 1975 and 1978 Final Fours. Have seen him many more times over the years including all of our Bryan Station 1974 class reunions. The first time I brought my kids to Rupp turned out to be the 25th reunion of the 1978 team and I got pictures of him with them.

A couple of years ago I went to the Virginia Tech game at Rupp by myself, and ran right into him in the stands. Walked out with him and he patiently stopped to greet and sign stuff for everyone who came up to him. At the Atlanta regional in 2018 he signed a bunch of posters and books about the 1978 Championship team. He even paid to mail a poster to me because I didn’t want to carry it on the plane.

He is a great person, great dad and now grandfather too.
