1987...
1987....
Say that out loud. Their last title was in 1987. Cell phones weren’t even a thing back then and majority of cars didn’t have power windows . That’s how long ago.
IU hasn't been to a Final Four since Mike Davis led them there EIGHTEEN YEARS AGO!
Rivals has them at #7 currently. Not bad, but to put that in perspective LSU is #5.They do have the #9 ranked class so far, so that's not too shabby. If Archie can keep the Indiana kids home, he will have some really good teams.
Cal has more final fours and titles in 9 years than iU in almost 40.It sure worked out really well for Cal last time.![]()
Calipari’s record speaks for itself.Cal has more final fours and titles in 9 years than iU in almost 40.
It is working out well.
And that #7 really is just because of Romeo alone...take him out and they probably have a big drop.Rivals has them at #7 currently. Not bad, but to put that in perspective LSU is #5.
Disclaimer - I totally get that they are geeked to get Romeo. We'd do the same, I'm sure, where the shoes on our feet instead. But.......all this, about one kid, who is only going to be there a season? Is it really worth all the hosannas?
And that #7 really is just because of Romeo alone...take him out and they probably have a big drop.
Check out the highlights for Jerome Hunter, Damezi Anderson, Robert Phinisee and Jake Forrester.
The Bowel Movement part 2...:flush:Check out the highlights for Jerome Hunter, Damezi Anderson, Robert Phinisee and Jake Forrester.
Jeez, haven't you learned yet that youtube highlights are fool's gold? EVERYBODY looks awesome when you only show out their highlights and cut out their mistakes and weaknesses.
I believe only one of those guys (Hunter) you listed is ranked in the Top 100. That's all I need to know the rest probably are not gonna be impact players for awhile, if ever. I don't care what their "highlights" look like.
Oh, I’m not saying highlights tell the entire story about kids. Obviously not but it can give you a bit of an insight in their games.
Hunter can score and should be able to do that early. Hunter is also a very good defender. Anderson is a shooter. He’ll get minutes if he can defend. Forrester and Race Thompson aren’t scorers but they are perfect bigs for Archie’s style of ball. They run the floor and defend. Both will get a bunch of minutes. Phinisee may be the most important player after Hunter and Langford. Phinisee may end up overtaking Green as PG if Green’s street ball continues to dominate the way he plays.

Are you aware that nobody here has any idea who any of these names you're talking about (other than maybe Hunter) even are?
UK fans don't pay attention to recruits who aren't ranked in the Top 100. Do you know why? Because we don't need to.
Seems like this conversation you're seeking would work better if you tried having it with some fellow IU fans who actually care about these names like you do.
Yep, a little disappointing in the moment, but it's pretty sad that a Second Round victory over a mediocre Kentucky team is the most relevant moment an alleged "Blueblood" program has had in the last 15 years.
3 top 100 recruits, Phinesee, Hunter, and Romeo. 2 top 50, Romeo, and Hunter. Anderson and Forrester can play, all in less than a year, Archie and IU will be fine.Jeez, haven't you learned yet that youtube highlights are fool's gold? EVERYBODY looks awesome when you only show out their highlights and cut out their mistakes and weaknesses.

That isn't something that just goes away bro.Indiana is not a Blueblood. Haven't been in a long long long long time.
Yes, you are absolutely right.....they will be fine for a mid tier Big10 team.....3 top 100 recruits, Phinesee, Hunter, and Romeo. 2 top 50, Romeo, and Hunter. Anderson and Forrester can play, all in less than a year, Archie and IU will be fine.

The class is #1 in the Big Ten?Yes, you are absolutely right.....they will be fine for a mid tier Big10 team.....
Don't disagree I just think they will be back.It isn't something that you can ride for decades either.......after a while it appears like you was more of a flash in the pan than a blue blood.
That's the Candy Stripe hypnotic stare. Look away Archie! Find Veronica!
