I don't want to be mean, but you are WAY off the mark here.
First off, Cal telling Ulis not to come here if he's expecting to be here 3+ years was his way of saying "I want you to come here with the goal of working your way to the league as fast as you can". That type of work ethic, in turn, helps UK win basketball games. He didn't say it meaning "if you are a 3-year player then I don't want you".
Second, Cal doesn't recruit based simply on measurables/NBA potential. If that were the case he would have never backed off the guys he did over the past five or so years. Yes, he wants the best talent, but he only wants the talent he thinks will fit with the team and his style of coaching/play. Many a great NBA prospect was either dropped off the recruiting radar by Cal or simply never recruited in the first place for one reason or another.
