Yep if we can get another 5 star today on the heels of 5 star Askew reclassifying this week to UK it would definitely ease some of the pain following the egg laying Tuesday night.

Omoruyi may be the least popular of the bigs but he's long and tall and can protect the rim. Wouldn't bother me a bit if we got him.

Sure. We need to make sure he knows no matter how well he plays he has to stay 3 or 4 years. We can't have players playing well enough to go pro after one or two years. I wonder if Cal has told him already that if he comes to UK he has to commit to staying at least 3 years so please play bad for the first two years so the pros will not be interested.
It takes longer than a year to go from raw offensively as he is to being a 1st rounder. there is a reason he's ranked in the 50's.

I stick by my statement. Unless Cal has an AD level player, his ceiling is the final four and most likely flameout to a lesser team.
Banchero also led the EYBL in rebounding as a rising junior. He can do it all. If he indeed stays in 2021 he'd be at the top of my wish list.
I have seen Jackson play several games when watching SPIRE with Melo Ball. Jackson is very thin, but can jump out of the gym and very long and athletic. His shot wasn't that bad, and can hopefully develop a nice 3-point/mid range game to his arsenal. They never posted him up and never played with his back to the basket, he was more of a face-up offensively. He did have a pretty good motor and was very active on the glass. If he does come to Kentucky, hopefully we will have the depth where Jackson isn't playing more than 20 minutes a game his freshman year. Main two things to improve and work on is adding bulk and working on a more consistent jump shot. Definitely a little raw and a 2-3 year guy, unless he somehow drastically changes and knows his role with the team.
I kinda figured thats where his game was. I definitely agree about adding bulk. As he is now, he will get pushed around easily. My hope is that we can get a commitment in the spring from Kuminga and a reclassified Banchero. That should give us the studs we need up front while letting Jackson develop his game and body and come in and be the energy guy for around 20 mins per game like you said. He’s a good pickup but not the answer we need at the forward spot to make an immediate impact. I see him as a two year player at the least.

We are likely also going to get one of Whitney/Brooks/Richards/EJ back. All of those guys appear to be in that 3rd tier of the draft (maybe 2nd round picks), and although it would be wise to expect maybe two of them to make the necessary gains toward NBA draft worthiness, it's naive to assume they'll all make those strides.
Get one or two of those guys back, add Ware and Jackson, and pull in Banchero in the spring.

99% of the Alabama sports fans has no ideal who Isaiah Jackson is. And they couldn't care less who he is. They care more about who the 3rd string punter is on their JV football team is, than they do about the possibility of a 5-Star basketball recruit signing with them. If Jackson picks Alabama over us, that would be like a 5-Star football recruit from Florida picking UK over Alabama. This stuff just doesn't happen
