My biggest hope for this program over a long period of time was just to make it to the First Four in the NCAAs. Ranked #11 in country? Never would've thought that possible in my wildest dreams.

I feel exactly the same way. My goal since the mid-'90s has been to simply make the tournament.
My soul was crushed when we faltered down the stretch in 1998-99. We were sitting at 17-7 and lost 4 straight to end the season, including an absolutely brutal loss to Seton Hall at the Meadowlands (I was there). We still could have made it with 1 more Big East Tourney win after a first round win but couldn't get it done against St. John's. Just to know that we're a tournament team this year for sure is enough for me, but to think we're absolutely capable of making a deep run is, like you said, beyond my wildest dreams.
When he posted that it still said Illinois. I need to up my game!
