At this point he seems to be the only one leaning UK.Shannon now seems a Michigan lock and it doesn't seem Cal is interested in Davis or Pack.Broome seems like he's going to Auburn and Lofton to Houston.So exactly what is Cal doing?

OP, I'm not sure, but you can fully expect some of our fans to overcompensate for lack of real recruiting excitement and hype this kid the same way they did Mintz, Julius Mays, and other notables who ended up being little more than good role players here.
I hope he's packing his damn bags. He can't coach. And he can't recruit anymore. Now he has become a cuck to 18 year old kids with $$$ signs flashing in their eyes. It is time to part ways and bring in someone new who can get rid of this **** culture Cal has installed here and make this place about UK again.

Last year's team was crushed by thin guard play and we saw what happens when injuries hit.

Frederick, missed whole season

May 1 is the deadline for players to enter the portal and be eligible for fall and winter sports for the 2022-23 season.We can get quality from the portal.There may still be some players that will enter next week but no excuse not to use our scholarships here.We have 13 so use the damn things.Dont save one for drama kings just looking to hide and draw NIL money.

Does Brad have eligibility left ? LOL , Whats Cal doing ? riding with Wheeler , Brook , Ware , hell even Toppin is pretty much entirely unproven on the national stage -- where we used to be . I have high high hopes for Frederick .. I really do , but let his man stick a couple baskets , or he gets beat off the dribble .. I can hear some Calism' on how he just cant play him . Overall, with the weakness of the in game coaching and roster management , I'm worried next year might not be as good as this one . And we didnt win anything this year . Nothing .
if you think about it, Cal almost always has a scholarship in waiting. Its always there in his pocket waiting for the next game changing player - and we saw how that played out.

We dont have to have a do it all player from the portal.We just need to add quality shooters that can play defense.Ive always thought there was strength in numbers so we need to use our scholarships.The portal can work for us if we target the right kids,I know you cant convince some to come here,I get that but we can fill our needs with quality.If that sure fire player enters then yeah,contact him but make sure it's a fit and not a distraction.
I just hope this is the year we win a ncaa tourney game.
Way wrong…this roster is flawed in the ways Cal does things every year
1. We are fine at the center and I think we’re maybe find at PF. Oscar and Ware at Center snd Toppin and Collins at PF will work…but Livingston should play PF
2. But PG…you going to run bad shooting Wheeler out there? And now we’re back to no depth So Wallace is going to slide to backup Pg? This is just dumb…it does not have to be this way
3. Now we are trying 5 guys for 3 backcourt spots? So Wallace is starting SG and we’ll do Livingston misplaced as SF. And injury prone Frederick and Reaves as depth. So if an injury hits…we’re right back to mash unit out there…this is an insane dumb idea
4. Not enough shooting. Wallace..who isn’t a known sniper, Reaves and Frederick. If you plan to start Wheeler and Livingston as perimeter players…teams are just gong to dare you to shoot
So that is nine total scholarship players…so we plan to be down 4 players on the roster and you’re good with that?
