With the utmost respect intended to him, I'd rather have Thad Cochran in his current state.

And if Democrats wouldn't have switched to vote for Thad in the primary, he would be our Senator now.

Anybody thanked them yet?

His flaws are so exaggerated that it's almost cartoonish, but alas, he appears to be a real pseudo human...

An absolute ******* is what he is. I don’t know how he survived the controversy with the staffer taking pics of Thad’s wife in the nursing home.

If not careful, one could become incredibly saddened that people like him actually exist. Perhaps he could move to Louisiana and team up with David Duke?

It's hard to believe that he represents the exact same political party that I support, but sees this issue so differently than I do. I can't believe some of these holdouts are going to be on the wrong side of history here, but that's their choice. He perfectly embodies the mindset of Jones County Mississippi.

And to think that we almost let him take the place of the Chairman of the Senate Appropriations Committee a few years ago. He would have embarrassed the **** out of our state in Washington.

I’d love a list of those 20-21 senators who are apparently siding with him. Quit being cowards. Put it out there.

We don't have party registration in Mississippi. Anybody can vote in any primary. It was fine for people who generally vote Democratic to vote in the Republican primary in 2014, just like it was fine for Chris McDaniel himself to vote in the Democratic primary in 2003.

If he has political aspirations outside of Jones County, he’s committing career suicide. It’s too bad that he’s also holding the gun to the head of Mississippi.

And if he gets his way, We will lose the right to have any post season sports games in Mississippi, and lose (Only God knows how many) an uncomfortable number of heavily recruited Football Players to an open (no penalty time out) transfer portal out of Mississippi. It could wreck our sports programs for years. I could see losing our new football coach and new girl's basketball coach, too.

I apologize for not mentioning what a ****** thing form anyone who claims to love Mississippi and Christian beliefs to stand for. Of course, he is the guy who took photos of his opponent's wife in a nursing home. What a bag of dog crap he is. Maybe he will get the 'rona and wind up on a ventilator in Jones County General Hospital and Large Animal Vet clinic for a year, or be attacked and heavily damaged by an alligator on the State Capitol grounds.

He's one of the senators for keeping the flag. He's just the most well known and I am sure is leading the charge.

Didn't say it was wrong. Just said it happened and that those who are glad McDaniel is not our current State Senator can thank a Democrat.

Oh, I knew that. What's the story about? That they don't have the votes in the Senate yet after all?

McDaniel and his friends hold us back from being a better state and letting us move forward. It's sad he still has backing and there are bunch of Mississippians that see the things he sees them. Fewer and fewer by the day but they are still there. Can't believe he had so much backing for senator. He would have done the same **** in DC and further held MS back and embarrassing us just like he is now. Hopefully folks of jones country will get sick of his crap but I know many of the people in rural MS agree with him and his "bright" ideas. Still clinging to the past and forcing good things to avoid Mississippi. Things that have made me wish we wouldn't have decided to be here and one major reasoning we have been looking to leave the state since.

A man like the Pine Belt Pimp got a great, empty hole right through the middle of him. He can never hate enough, or disparage enough or inflict enough bad will to ever fill it.

They don't have 35 out of 52, which is what it absolutely takes to get the resolution to suspend the rules (and override a veto, if Stay Puft decided to veto a bill to rescind the 1894 flag designation).

Sadly, he has some sheep and is trying to keep them in the fold. To say that he is a jackass would likely be offensive to donkeys everywhere.

We will lose a lot more than that. The next step is no NCAA or SEC member institutions will be allowed to play a game in Mississippi. That includes us. We won't even get into the business fall out. He is an ignorant fool.

There is no pre party registration but you have to select which party's ballot you wish to vote when you enter the polls for a primary. So any Democrats that voted in the republican primary cancel their opportunity to vote the democratic primary. I guess you do that when the Democrats have no chance to win the general election. Or want to sabotage the republican nomination.

So who are the (at least) 17 other douche bags besides McDaniel? Can we start IDing these *** clowns?

I cant think of anyone he could run against that would make me touch the box by his name. Hell i would vote for Ken Fairley or Freezus over him.

He is Bilbo or Eastland...in 2020. He is an embarrassment. If you are here, PLEASE stay here and try to help change this state. If people who want us to move away from our past keep leaving, we never will change. People like him WANT you to leave.

True. His part of the county has grown only because of Hattiesburg spillover.
