Lisa Bluder was at the Dowling v. Johnston game Friday. Ava Zediker put on a show and had 28 and Dowling snapped Johnston's 42 game winning streak. Jenica Lewis was 2-14 and fouled out of the game late. For my money, Zediker is the best in-state prospect in the 2025 class. You could argue between her and Journey Houston but I think Iowa eventually offers Zediker. Dowling's supporting cast isn't great and she is being face guarded or playing against a box in one every night and they continue to win and she keeps putting up big numbers. Very good player.

Zediker visited during football season, so Bluder and the rest of the staff are keeping a good eye on her.

Are there prep schools for girls? I'm genuinely curious.
IMG in Florida is the only one I know of. Possibly where the Murray brothers went have a girls side but I don't really know. The only women's player I've ever heard of coming out of IMG of note is Rellah Boothe, was #3 in her class in maybe 2017. She went to Texas for a year, then to a JC in NW Florida, and ended up at Middle Tennessee State after that.

PA and Maddyn Greenway with a huge win over Hopkins. 41 against a team with 5+ players with D1 offers. MG is legit.

That's a huge win for PA over Hopkins. Hopkins is considered by many to be the gold standard for girls BB in Minnesota. For Greenway to score 41 points against them, should remove any doubt that she has the skillset to play at the highest college level, IMO. I hope the Hawks can get her commitment!

Kyle, do you know the recruit that attended the Nebraska game? Also, was coach Jensen in Phoenix watching the freshman Jerzy Robinson?

Not Kyle, but I posted this on another board that she was at Salpointe Catholic to watch '25 top 15 prospect Taliyah Henderson.

Coach Bluder said they have one 24 scholarship remaining. Does this mean Clark will use the COVID year? I mean why take a pay cut, and could explain the non interest from Olson and Prince.

Clark returning for a 5th year would allow her to break several Iowa and NCAA records. Would be nice if she decided on a 5th year at Iowa.

I really hope we get Maddie Greenway. She is great already and is still in 9th grade.

Iowa has already offered, and she has said that Iowa is her dream school. However, she said that when she was 14. Hopefully she still feels that way and commits in the next 6 months.

I wonder if Bluders age might be used against Iowa by other schools. She is 61 now, will she still be coaching 8 years from now??

just read where the Ind game is now sold out and been moved to espn. all the quotes about the positives Iowa has been getting since Clark came---if they cannot rev up their recruiting with this visibility boost I don't know what to say...
I also have to think the coach at OK. has to be a favorite to take over with what she is doing down there...timeline is what would/could be critical.

What I have heard so far is that she is going to go through the recruiting process as you normally would. I still think Iowa has the lead, but you can't knock her for wanting to visit schools. She is only a freshman.

Addison Deal just took a unofficial to Oregon. LSU appears to be going after her hard, she should be one of Iowa's top priorities. My wish list is for the final 24 goes to Hargrove, Clark stays, Deal in 25, Greenway in 26. Maybe sprinkle in a little Jordan Spieser and Jenica Lewis for good measure. When coach Bluder feels it is time, rides off into the sunset after a brilliant career, and is replaced by the OK or UNLV coach. Not too much to ask for I think.

I’ve always figured Jan Jensen as the next coach…… guess I’m not sure how close to Lisa she is in age…… thought she played for Bluder?

Jan has actually said on a past HR Podcast that once Lisa retires she would want the Iowa job but if it doesn't happen that would be okay too. She just loves the Iowa City area which is why she's stayed all these years despite interest from other schools. I think it's fairly certain that the next coach will be Jensen or Barancyzk (Jennie Lillis) from Oklahoma.

nvhawk,
Pardon my ignorance but who is BSM mentioned above? TIA
Benilde-St Margaret's, high school in Minnesota that Olivia Olson a Michigan commit, and Kendalll Mcgee a Iowa recruit play on. Interestly, Olson, who is a big, talented pg, went to at least one Iowa game in Minnesota during her recruitment. And even stood in the Clark reception line that we see so often now. When she posted her offer from Iowa Clark positively replied, but when she cut her offers Iowa was not in the top ten.

This ^ infinity. Though I don't believe we would see a scenario where Jan would be passed up for the job and she would stay on staff.

It will be very interesting to see what happens.

Absolutely no disrespect to Jan, but if Jenny isn't offered first then we missed the boat. I would imagine Jan and Jenny are good friends as Jan coached Jenny in college. Why wouldn't she stay on to help Jenny??

Has Iowa offered 25 Sienna Betts? Sister of Stanford freshman Lauren Betts, who was teammates in high school with Addy O'Grady. I thought maybe it was a foregone conclusion she would join her sister, but she recently visited ND.
