Heck’s miss down the middle to Diaz was inexcusable. That woulda been a TD
He had the potential to hit 3 guys for TDs, but 0 for 3...
This. At this point, we clearly need to go with the "hot hand".
Neither QB has earned a long leash. So is you stink up the place, next QB in.
Hank doesn't look like he has a "hot hand" today, but better than the "sh*t hand" we were seeing with Heck.
So his 2 throws to wide open Diaz impressed you? How about his multiple passes into triple coverage? Don’t let the bias cloud how **** he has looked (FWIW I don’t like Hank either).

I am not saying he is Drew Tate but give the guy a full game to figure it out. There just isn't enough of a sample size to know what he is yet. He has moxie and potential to be pretty good. Not saying he will be, but give him more of a chance.
Yeah, I am neither a Hank or Heck guy specifically. Complete passes, make the right calls and don't put the ball at risk in stupid situations. I'll take that guy....
too bad we missed open receivers but i suppose the good news compared to the past is that receivers were open and the qb actually seemed to be aware of that

Good question. I've been all Heck, but now I see I may have been wrong. I'm willing to admit it. Maybe Iowa has two mediocre, inconsistent QBs after all. But then they're not alone. Look at the awful QB play we've been seeing from both Michigan and Indiana, to name only two. Where have all the QBs gone?
Second half likely we see Heck back after that awful interception. Moulton is done for the day, so it's the LJ Phillips show. Goofs attacking the box with reckless abandon. Need to make them pay for it with something, anything, on the outside. Desperately need to spread them out. Defense was our lifeline until special teams woke up and helped with field position. Must get a three and out to start the third and get the offense into decent field position.

About the same as before the game started. That it was comical we were even having that discussion 1 week after we were trying to find 6 wins on the schedule.
Iowa deserves all the criticism and jokes for our offense year in and year out
